Today we were lucky enough to have a beautiful day to celebrate Max and Oscar’s 3rd birthdays! So much fun to be had feeding the animals with Big Bertha the eel coming out to visit too! Hope you had a great party boys 🥳

What a busy afternoon for Arlo’s 5th birthday! We magically managed to both do a dinosaur theme for the party and cake. Pass the parcel, gem fossicking and a piñata kept us busy. The eels were a highlight with the biggest one coming up to be fed

Despite the rain we had a great time celebrating Kahu's 4th birthday today. He watched the others ride and then put on a huge smile and rode Casper himself! Good job Kahu and thanks for having your birthday at Okataina.

A++ for everything! We couldn't have asked for a more memorable birthday for our 3 year old! Gotta love the warmth, kindness and hospitality of this family run business. The kids and adults had the bestest time. Highly recommend Okataina for birthday parties. They are just brilliant with kids. The farm tour teach kids how to interact and feed with farm animals. There's even an eel feeding session, trailor rides, pony rides and a lovely barn for kai time ❤️thank you once again for giving us a beautiful 3rd birthday to remember forever

What a busy morning filled with laughter! Celebrating Zaylee’s 6th birthday in style with a unicorn party. Life is for living and this party was all about it! Even Great Gran had a turn riding Casper the pony, how amazing is she! Happy birthday Zaylee 🥳🦄

All our parties include a farm tour and all the children having the opportunity to feed the animals and have a pony ride. We do not charge for babies under 12 months.

Basic package
Uncatered party is $200 for up to 10 children, $3.50 per adult with tea and coffee supplied. Extra children $12.50 per extra child

Catered Package
$375 for up to 10 children and 10 Adults. Extra children $17.50 per extra child and $3.50 per extra adult.

Unicorn Party
At a unicorn party you get catering for up to 10 children, party set up with unicorn theme, a unicorn pinata, unicorn party bags and your very own live pink unicorn! Cost for 10 children is $475 and $20 per extra child. Cost includes up to 10 adults attending and $3.50 for extra adults.

Deluxe Party
A deluxe party provides catering for 10 children, a pinata, Pass the parcel and Gem fossicking for every child. The cost is $560 for up to 10 children and $27 per extra child. Cost includes up to 10 adults attending and $3.50 for extra adults.

All parties now require a $50 deposit

🦄Unicorn Party Review🦄

We had a fabulous birthday party for our daughter on the weekend at Okataina farm parties. The parties are run so well, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. The animals are entertaining for the children as well as the adults. We appreciated the amazing hospitality from John, Laura and Lee and highly recommend the experience to all !! - Terri-Ann

My daughter had a lovely birthday party at Okataina Farmyard over the weekend - super easy with party food and drinks all included in the package. The kids enjoyed feeding the beautifully cared for and approachable animals. The quad bike and trailer trip was a highlight as well as the pony rides.
John, Lee and Laura are great - patient and friendly and all the party guests had a wonderful time.

Looking for something to do? We are opening for a farm experience!

On Tuesday 2nd January we are planning a farm experience (weather dependent). This will take place at 10am and 2.30pm. This is a first in first served booking system, with limited spaces. $12 per child which includes feed for the animals (adults and babies accompanying children are free).

Hand feeding the sheep, goats, ponies, donkeys and cows. Pony rides will be available at the end for $5 per child. Gem fossicking for $7

We would highly recommend heading to Okataina Farm for your birthday party. We had the best time and so much fun for our daughters 9th birthday. The activities were great, food was great and the atmosphere was the best! She already wants to come back again next year 🙂 - Claire

Thanks to those of you who have had parties with us and attended our open days for our first party season! We have loved meeting you all and look forward to meeting many more in the next party season.
