Huia Festival

On the 25th October 2014 King Street, on which sits famed live music venue King St Live, the hub of Masterton’s burgeoning music scene, played host to a major outdoor live extravaganza as The Black Seeds, The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra, King Ori Ori & the Masterons, Adam Page + more descended on the town to take part in the inaugural Huia Festival. The entire street was closed to t

raffic and opened up to the masses for a feast of music & street entertainment, with a wide array of scrumptious food and beverages surrounding an al-fresco dining area. We at Insight Events would like to thank all of the live acts and the many people involved in helping bring the first Huia Festival to fruition, but also helping to make it such a success and so much fun! It can only grow from here so bring on Huia 2015!
