Pay it Forward Fundraiser
As part of our fundraising efforts for Sophia's trip to New York we are doing something different. We are offering both myself and Sophia as a team, to do odd jobs such as gardening, cleaning windows, cleaning ovens , spring cleaning. The twist? Instead of paying for jobs for yourself you nominate someone else and bless them with the help! So not only are you blessing Sophia and her fundraising efforts but also a person of your choosing! Twice the giving for the one gift.
Maybe it's a young mum you know who could do with some help with house work or babysitting, or an elderly neighbour who needs help in the garden, the opportunities to bless some are endless. Don't know anyone to help? No worries, I will contact local churches to see who they know who could do with a hand.

The first batch of Pawsome Bites dog treats about to go into the oven, I was so proud of Sophia and her friend Amy who worked incredibly hard today to produce hundreds of these tasty canine treats for their advanced orders and for the Sunday market tomorrow. Here are two teenage girls who are putting the effort in to get themselves to New York, this will be an ongoing venture so keep those orders coming in and support these teens who are putting in the hard yards!

Introducing Pawsome Bites, a dog treat initiative to raise money for my daughter
Sophia and her best friend Amy to go to New York for Fashion
Week in February 2025.
They are selling cute, peanut butter tasty treats for $10 per 150g bag. Perfect for any loved pooch. All money raised will help the girls reach for their dreams.
Treats can be collected from my Masterton addresss or dropped off or sent at additional charge. Orders to be in by Thursday each week for weekend pick up or you can pop in to the Sunday market every other weekend. Dates to be advised.

All good things must come to an end. Wayne and I have enjoyed our time creating fabulous grazing tables, platter boxes, work shouts and catering for weddings, funerals and everything in between.
But now it's time for someone else to take the torch and take this business to the next level!
Wayne and I have only worked the business part-time, fitting it in around full time work and our large family commitments, but there is plenty of opportunities for someone who is keen to increase turnover.
The business comes with our name, which is known throughout the Wairarapa, our page which has over 2600 followers and our mobile caravan which is a catering kitchen on wheels.
It is 6 metres by 2.4 metres plus the draw bar and has a 2.8 metre ceiling.
It comes equipped with the following equipment - Turbofan G32 gas oven, Blueseal still gas oven with 4 gas hobs, turbofan 89 electric proofer/ hot hold, Skope PG 400 3 door gastronorm prep chiller, PG100 gastronorm underbench chiller, skope serene upright one door drinks fridge, skope CL400 2 door underbench fridge.
Skope F650e upright freezer, Blueseal gas salamander.
We are selling it in a- as is where is condition, it needs the wiring to the tail lights repaired and battery for electric brakes. We have operated it as a home based, fixed location commercial kitchen and have not needed these repairs done to operate the business. We have passed all our audits with flying colours!

Platter Platter- the story

My name is Nina and along with my husband Wayne, who I always refer to as Mr Platter Platter as he’s a bit social media shy, own and operate Platter Platter. We do this from our registered commercial kitchen which was formerly a food caravan, at our home in Norfolk Road,where we live with 4 of our 6 children.

Both Mr Platter Platter and myself have a history in the catering industry, having owned and worked in a variety of food businesses and Mr Platter Platter is a trained chef.

They say when life gives you lemons you make lemonade, and this is what we have done. Prior to Platter Platter our food caravan was situated in Masterton’s CBD,outside the ANZ bank and we operated under the name Cactus Tacos where we specialised in Mexican street food. Due to some mechanical issues this was no longer viable and after licking our wounds we took the caravan home, put on our thinking caps and Platter Platter was born.

At Platter Platter we specialise in grazing tables for celebrations and events of all kinds.The bright colourful, fresh food is displayed in eye-catching ways, which makes sure your events food is remembered long after the event is finished. We also love to do platter boxes, baking , buffets, high-teas and childrens parties.
