With the weather being so bad on Friday it was touch and go as to whether we'd go ahead with a Pony Party on Saturday but thankfully all was well and we could go ahead as planned. Thank you to our kind helpers & ponies that cope so well, we have such a special team.

This Saturday 5pm - 9pm we will be giving Pony & Carriage Rides at the end of the Night Market lane at the Matakana Country Park. There will be food stalls galore plus plenty of stalls to get that last minute gift and of course Pony & Carriage rides for entertainment. Look forward to seeing you there. 🐴🌟🍓🎠

When we're not doing Pony Parties we will be busy doing Horse & Wagon rides over the holidays so come along to the park and have a go, lots of other activities there as well - Train rides, Nija Park & Markets on Sundays.

Alfie & Fifi having cuddles with Pooh Bear at the Country Park Express - it's such a fun place to visit and their toy display is amazing, come and look for yourself, Alfie and Fifi will definitely be going back.

We were very close to cancelling a Pony Party yesterday but the brave mother who booked the party gambled against the odds and went ahead. The day went brilliantly with all the children having a Pony Ride before lunch then a carriage ride afterwards. Lesson learnt - ignore the weather forecast and go ahead with what you planned to do then you won't miss out!!!

Our Services

We provide a rustic shed with hay bales, fairy lights & bunting along with a decorated table. The children can pat & groom the ponies when they arrive then have a pony & carriage ride. We cater for a wide age group and can decorate for boys & girls to suit a theme you may choose - we can adapt to suit your style. You supply your own food & drinks.

We are situated on the premises of the Matakana Country Park and you can extend your visit to have a train ride or visit the children playground while you are here. There are also coffee & restaurants on hand if you wish to extend your stay.
