While out staking down everything I can due to the wind warning I have picked as much as I can and will be putting them out at the stall tomorrow. Grab yourself a bunch of happiness 💐

We have another special until Monday on 30 trays to get rid of a few only $20 instead of $23 while stock lasts.

Morning picking, answering 100million question about honey bees and sword fighting prickles to teach them not to grow anymore (Harry has ensured me this 100% works) This year has been bloody testing, between rain and wind my flowers have taken a hammering. But fingers crossed in the next week I will get some out to the stall! Keep an eye out!

Need to find a tape measure but hecka the lilies are massive. If only the Christmas lilies looked this good, sadly the frost and then hail got them good so there will be none for sale this year.

So turns out I need to teach the kids how to look after all our chooks and then I will be free to do my flowers!

Beaut night to pick what I think is one of the most underrated flowers the Iris, the smell is so delish and I am so lucky to have so many from my husbands beloved late Grandad who I was lucky enough to spend lots of time with and share his love of gardening with me.
When he passed I was able to shift allot of his flowers and create “Grandads Garden”.
It came to my attention while I was picking that the sheep have ripped my fence down and are now helping themselves to the garden.
Penny pothole getting a peck from the chooks that have escaped, which she considers heaven.
On another note…..

I am hoping that I will have enough blooms next week to start my roadside stall again 🎉💐

Himalayan lilys are poking their leaves through already! These are soooo cool and in our family they are known as the Mt Peel lily. My grandfather used to grow them and now we all do, there is a competition starting to see who can grow the tallest one. Their smell is next level and the old dried stems look very cool in a vase…. Any too big for indoors Harry uses as swords.
Lushingtons Garden, Gifts, Cafe has some for sale in Ashburton if you want to jump on the competition band wagon.

Catching up on some of my real work (Envrio Farm Advising) from bed listening to the heavy rain outside . I have all my fingers and toes crossed the sound of heavy rain doesn’t go away because that might mean snow and with the tulips on the brink of being able to be picked….. pretty sure with a wet heavy snow they may all snap.
