Decided to build a pond in the middle of the circle garden instead of weeding or flower arranging. Providing fun for two little crocodiles at least!
Well this was unexpected! Rushed out to cover all my tender plants before we head up to Auckland for the Dixie Chicks. Fingers crossed everything survives 😬
Post overload today but I have finally got around to splitting my dahlias.Typical me I’ve not labelled a few properly or lost the labels so they will be lucky dip. But keep an eye out in the coming week for these coming up for sale.Dahlias are frost tender so I do not plant mine until Canterbury show weekend. Allot of people say Labour weekend but we typically still have frosts then.I will also be taking cuttings from my special dahlias and new ones in November which will come up for sale in December once they have rooted.
Safe from snow. Need to open a bit more before more deliveries. 🙌
Feeding time at the zoo. A few more babies in the mix now, who should be laying in the next 5-6weeks. They are in an enclosed area until they are a big bigger and can handle being out in the wild with the older layers. As usual Penny Pothole the pig tries to steal my eggs by tripping me up, this is why the layers are behind a fence because she loves to get in and eat all their food and then moves onto consuming all the eggs.
Work smarter not harder.
Perks of living on a cropping farm, spreading some base fert the fast way!
Sunday funday, usually takes 10mins to feed animals and collect eggs…. With belle it takes nearly an hour with all the side activities that must be done. Now I cross my fingers she will have a sleep so I can plant a few seedlings
What a day! Belle was in chook catching duties after we shifted their barn a few got out into the garden… she failed terribly but god loves a trier 😂. New garden is coming along as well, thanks to the trusty little tractor putting in the hard yards, not my back! Hoping that it will resemble something similar to the last image 🤞🤞
Penny Pothole loves a scratch and when I have to clean out the trough but she is the worlds biggest pest whenever we go out into the paddock to the chooks, all she wants is food or a scratch.
Everything starting to look a bit brighter and beautiful! 💐💐
After loosing her bestie a month ago Doris is finally happy again playing with her new mate Billy the Kid ❤️ excuse the pig loosing the plot.
Something exciting is going up! Watch this space 💐🎉
Trying no to get some weeding done with both kids is an experience!
