Twilight Christmas Market starts at 4pm til 7pm today at The Surf Club at Muriwai.

Stall holders are busy getting setup now 🎁🛒- Lots of dry space in the club.
And the water slide is out if the kids are already wet or need to let out some energy after being stuck inside all day. 💧🌊

We also have food trucks 🍔, face painting 🖌and live music 🎹.

(Please park on the front lawn as the carpark is already full) 🚗🚗

The surf club is open today for voting in the main hall
9am to 7pm

There are a few lifeguard activities around other parts of the club this morning but the main hall is dedicated to voting.

Please park on the front lawn if the carpark and driveway are full.

Delwyn has been busy working away in the surf club front garden.

We are holding a mulching working bee 🐝 this Saturday at the Surf Club from 9am to midday to cover all the newly planted plants. Please come down or contact Delwyn if you can help - 027 281 0640

It’s our great honour to be coming back to the home of Muriwai Beach Open Mic night on the 29th September after so many months away. So much has changed in the preceding months and it has been a very challenging time. We look forward to seeing as many locals as can make it there. Kia Kaha Muriwai. With the completion of the concrete area in front the the gear sheds the main carpark can return to normal.

We ask that no one parks in front of any of the gear sheds or the access way to the Village Green. These are the red zones on the attached map. (you can park in front of the trailers but be careful with the tow bars)

The callout squad needs 24x7 access to the gear sheds without delay. This includes at night (they have been called out a night for flood events several times)

The access to the village green is the emergency access to the club and access to a helicopter landing site on the village green with the front lawn is still to water logged to land on.

The blue area is also out of action due to water pooling here from our storm water system, hopefully by summer this dries out and can be used.
