🏆 Kiwi Cup Regatta Wrap-Up 🏆

Yesterday marked the close of the thrilling Kiwi Cup Regatta! 🎉 Huge congratulations to Royal Akarana Yacht Club for taking home the win! 👏

A special shoutout to our Napier Sailing Club team for being awarded Most Improved! 🎖️ Your hard work and dedication truly paid off!

With another 6 races completed, the day ended on a high note as teams swapped boats and joined the RNZYS Friday Night Rum Race. What a fantastic way to close out the week! ⛵️🍻

It was an awesome opportunity for the whole team, and we’re sure this is an event they’ll always remember. The lessons learned here will no doubt shape their future sailing endeavors! 🌊

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible, and to all the incredible people behind the scenes who made this event run smoothly. Your support is everything! 🙏

🌊 Kiwi Cup Regatta - Day 4 Update 🌊

The first day of racing is in the books! 🏁 Our team completed 6 exciting races today, delivering a mix of results, but the energy and spirit out on the water were amazing! 💥

It’s been a fantastic day with strong competition, and we’re proud of how our sailors represented Napier Sailing Club. They gave it their all and showed incredible determination. 💪⛵️

Day 1 at the Kiwi Cup Regatta has been and gone!

👏 We're thrilled to see our Napier Sailing Club youth embracing this unique experience and enjoying the opportunity to be part of something new 3 Full Days of Learning before 2 Days of Racing. Although the novelty of sleeping in the ballroom might have already worn off, the excitement is still high! Well done to our Napier Sailing Club team that have been selected for The Kiwi Cup hosted by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS). The regatta will be held from 30 September - 4 October.

We are also extremely excited to announce that the America's Cup will also be visiting our club on Wednesday 4th September 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

The team representing NSC for the regatta is Rose Dickey, Rylan Clark, Jed Potbury, Tara Labat and Harry Jameson.

The Toyota Kiwi Cup Tour is bringing the America’s Cup to us on Wednesday 4th September from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

This nationwide tour will give our members the chance to see the world’s oldest sporting trophy, the America’s Cup and have a photo taken with it! There will be other activities onsite during the visit, so bring the family and show your support for Emirates Team New Zealand thanks to the Toyota Kiwi Cup Tour!

🌊 We've been very lucky to have some special visitors over the last few days! A friendly sea lion has been hanging around, bringing lots of smiles. But today, we got an even bigger surprise—an Family of orca swam right up the channel! 🐋 It's not every day we get to see such majestic creatures up close. Was great to see a pack of enthusiastic ILCA teens out Training over the weekend, Thanks to Sam McKay from Yachting New Zealand for coming down and running the Clinic, we also finished off the winter sailing series with a few of the Hardcore junior joining the ILCA group for some afternoon racing. It's Crazy to think but the Summer Racing Season Kicks off this Coming Weekend so hope you've got the Winter Maintenance covered and the lawns are already taken care of as we look forward to catching up with everyone on Saturday.
