It is my goal to give you a wedding ceremony that reflects your relationship, personalities and style. As someone who has always loved weddings and love stories, I never dreamed that I would be a celebrant. But after getting married in Hawkes Bay and attending friends weddings I saw that there was a gap in the market for a younger celebrant. A celebrant with a flexible approach to planning and pre

senting a ceremony. My love of theatre means that I have an eye for small details. The little ones that I've picked up after 10 years in the wedding industry that can make such a difference to how a ceremony feels, runs and looks to your guests. My goal in being your celebrant is to help you to create a ceremony that reflects who you both are as individuals and as a couple, the relationship that you share together and how you view the commitment that you are making. It's important to me that your ceremony looks effortless and smooth. So the special people that you gather around you to celebrate your wedding remember it for being; beautiful and simple, or eloquent and traditional, or elaborate and sentimental, with special touches unlike any other, full of love, fun and laughter or however you dream it to be.

Sometimes tradition just isn't for everyone. Tonight's surprise ceremony was 100% about making sure M&J's wedding was low key, with no pressure and loaded with good times. Like when the power went out right as M&J were about to exchange rings, so we all laughed and a few seconds later it was back! Whew! Pretty soon M&J were celebrating both their engagement and wedding with the ones who mean the most. Hard to top that for a winters eve!

Here's to claiming your own wedding the way you want it, laughing when sh*t goes wrong and to power cuts springing a "first time for everything" moment into my day!

I've been thinking about this for a while. I've always read your ceremony from a handcrafted wooden book (thanks to my Mr) and I've always had amazing feedback and felt a bit flash rocking out a ceremony holding them. However, wooden books, turning pages, breezes and holding microphones aren't necessarily the best of combinations! So this season my go to is going to be this brand spanker of a Kindle! Bring on the more sustainable paperless season!

I know some of you will still want to have the option of the ole wooden book so it's going to hang around as an add on, with the added bonus of your keeping it, so you know what was said during those all important moments that made you married!

(Also for interests sake, that rose smells soooo damn beautiful!)

Uncertainty. I think that's the hardest facet of planning anything to do with life, let alone a wedding at the moment. So much damn uncertainty. Postpone or forge on? Wait or just keep trucking on?

If you're one of the many feeling uncertain about when you will get to have your day, (you know the one you've been dreaming of and planning for long before we thought covid would still be around tearing a path right through our lives) you might just want to GET MARRIED!! If that's you, you're sick of waiting, you done with feeling gut wrenching disappointment, hit me up. Let's get you MARRIED!

As for uncertainty, here's what's certain. Tomorrow that great big ball of burning gas in the sky will be around, it'll will float across the sky and set making a beautiful scene just like this one. Another thing that's certain is I'll be here to help you marry the person of your dreams no matter how you decide it to be x

This was my view for the end of 2021. So grateful to have stunning views to farewell a year that has held so much for so many. Soaking it in reminded me that whatever our challenges are, particularly lately (I'm talking about you C-word), there's some beautiful times amongst it so let's focus on that!

You cry, I cry. It's a thing. Bride cries, I'm probably going to cry with you. Groom cries, I'm with you crying. If anyone's father cries, I'm gone. Today I learned that even if your Dad is super excited that you're marrying the man of your dreams, I'm gonna cry because of that. I'm a crier. Unabashedly with you in the emotion leaking out my eyes, but quietly cos no one needs ugly crying when it's the happiest moment of their lives.

Just like that the sun sets on my 20/21 season! 19 beautiful couples. 16 incredible venues. Once again I feel like the luckiest celebrant working with the most amazing vendors that Hawkes Bay has to offer.
Thanks 20/21, while quieter than most seasons due to Covid, it's certainly been one hell of a ride!
