This weeks tasteeeeee Bite! 🙌🏻

Why we love - You can drink cocktails from a tea pot (I know, yes a teapot 🫖, how cool right)

Their Burrata has made the top hospo lists here in NZ and we definitely can’t forget the great photo opp with bright ceiling hanging umbrellas ☔️ ( that have the ability to also transport you to somewhere other then the corner of a Hastings Street)

We’re thrilled to announce a new series on our page dedicated to spotlighting local cafes and restaurants! 🍽️✨

Ok, who’d like to know how I got to this? 🍽️🥂

Taste Hawkes Bay I mean, not this table….that would be pretty self explanatory 😋

So long ago I that can’t actually remember the date ( if I had to take a pic, I’d say 2012) I created a page called “Truly Julie” where I’d bake something delicious to photograph and share. I love to bake but used this to ultimately up skill my food photography.

Quickly realising I was eating way too many cakes and slices, I decided to take things in a new direction and focus in on my passion for dining at cafes and restaurants, creating my next adventure “Dishing Up Hawkes Bay” A page to simply share what I was eating with my followers.

Very soon everyone began to share their dining experiences online so I knew it was time to take another step.

With an event planning background I created “The Social Table” to connect local foodies regularly around the tastiest cafe and restaurant tables here in Hawkes Bay.

Unfortunately Covid quickly changed these dynamics meaning things went on the back burner, but I knew that when the time was right I’d be back

That time lead me to creating “Taste Hawkes Bay” A collaboration of all the above to not only help our local cafes and restaurants get more exposure (especially after those unsettling times) but also help my fellow foodies make the right dining decisions.

Now 2024….here we are and still learning and growing within an industry that genuinely brings me joy.
