Melrose Society Trustees Nicky, Sylvia and Kay decorate the Christmas tree at Melrose House in preparation for the community Xmas event this Sunday. Trustees host community events and promote the use of Melrose House as a venue, with revenue helping pay for maintenance of the property.
In 1945, Melrose House was gifted to the Women’s Division of the Federated Farmers (W.D.F.F.), by Colonel Noel Percy Adams, a descendant of the original owners, the Watts family, to be used as a rest home. Due to financial burdens, in the early 1970’s the Nelson City Council took over ownership of the property and formed the Colonel Noel Percy Trust (Melrose Society).

Just like our regular high tea, this includes four petite sweet treats, four petite savoury treats, made with our Chef's choice seasonal goodies. Also included is our statement cold drink, the Rose Lemonade, and freshly foraged flowers and greenery.

We will safely store your food and drinks in a picnic box. Also included is a re-useable, cardboard high tea stand, which you can then have fun assembling yourself.
