Winter, the gardens all tucked in under a layer of mulch. Dug the last of the Dahlia Tubers and good to see lots of happy worms busy improving the soil.
The cold flowers are in ready to burst into bloom at the first signs of Spring.
Still managed to get a little jar for the house with the last few flowers, even a little poppy about to crack out of its shell.

Cooler nights means it's the end of the flower season for our little garden.
I've thoroughly enjoyed growing and making so many bouquets.
If we do get another flush before the frosts I'll put them at the gate, but for now here's some pics of the last 2 custom orders heading out into the world.

Thank you all so much for supporting our flowers at the gate this season, looking forward to flowering again in spring.

Been flowering today with some of the end of season short stems. Made a tableful of jam jar posies to spread a bit of joy tomorrow. And how pretty is this pink bloom?

Not ready for my little garden to start sleeping for the season. Might be able to do a few more bouquets before tidying up for winter. Then I'll wait impatiently for Spring, that's the beauty of flowers.... they'll be back.

We're back after taking our daughter to complete at Oceans Surflifesaving in Mt Maunganui.

Apologies I havnt been able to make flowers this past week, the good news is I have a few blooms ready to be picked for Wednesday.

I'll update on here when they will be at the gate, or message to order $25 bouquets.

Apologies, SOLD OUT for valentines day.
I'd love to have a whole field of flowers to pick so everyone could have Valentines flowers.

The pink rose smells amazing, there's dahlias, scabiosa and poppies. Poppies are a bit cool, they open for a day or so and are really pretty then they drop their petals and you have an interesting seed pod.

Who likes orange?
This boquet is going out to the gate tommorrow.

I have a friend who has the most amazing orange hair, I started growing this colour dahlia so I could give her orange blooms and I'm loving the happy brightness.

Come and grab them before it gets too hot.

There are a couple with the always beautiful Cafe Au Leits. Although stunning, these can have a shorter vase life so I tuck them into the side of boquets so they can be enjoyed then popped out once they're done and you still have a nice bunch of blooms.
