Crikey....the world is not as we know it, what with heatwaves, fires, droughts, floods, rising sea levels and stranded polar bears. She has finally thrown the toys out of the cot saying "Enough is Enough" and who can blame her? Global warming has arrived and drastic changes need to be made to slow down climate change, but hey it's not all bad. Planet earth is still a beautiful place especially with the change of seasons, speaking of which spring is in the air with new growth everywhere, so lovely to see and glad to be living "down under" Stay safe 🙂💕🌻

The red hot poker is quite the joker, not necessarily red but can also be orange, yellow and lime green. These guys grow like weeds and like to be seen!! Here to brighten up our winter days.....not being totally silly and also known as the "Torch Lily". Enjoy 🙂💕

The Power of Flowers.

The humble, unassuming flower quietly gets on with taking what nature provides - the sunshine and the rain, but at the same time being totally unaware of.....
the power of their presence
the smile they bring to people's faces
how many jobs they create for people around the world
how important they are for certain occasions
how they make communication possible when there are no words to say.
Taking so little yet giving so much, at peace with their surroundings, happy just to be....

Hello to all you flower lovers. Have your flower gardens managed to survive the summer heat? Without water they would surely die. Mine is looking very sad this year but I already have plans for next year's garden. There is no point in having empty spaces in your garden when they can be overflowing with interesting beautiful flowers, providing the soil is well fed. My Grandmother (pictured below) always enjoyed a good show of colour in her garden, one of her favourites being the rose. The ancient, alluring rose playing a very important part in todays Valentines Day, acknowledging love and romance ****My efforts of yesterday being enjoyable and exciting, providing the market shoppers with a Valentines choice while soaking up the relaxed atmosphere.🙂🙂🌹💕💕💕

A random act of kindness can be to help someone who is struggling with their shopping, to open a door for someone, to give a smile to someone who looks sad........ or to give flowers.
Whether it be to say sorry, thank you, I love you, happy birthday, happy anniversary, get well or farewell, flowers take so little yet give so much.🙂
