The first day of Spring 2024!! And the tulips are coming along nicely 🩷

Yay the flower farm is coming back to life again!!

Tulips, snapdragons, ranunculus, orlaya and larkspur enjoyed sunbathing this weekend 🤍

Sunday - away from the studio and out amongst the flower beds 🥰

🍃 one bed of dahlias dug and tubers nestled down in storage for the winter
🍃 Spring flowering sweetpeas out into their flower bed
🍃 poppies and ranunculus planted
🍃 another two beds weeded
🍃 larkspur and vintage stock seedlings transplanted into cell pots

Oh and my phlox are STILL flowering xx

Hey there little larkspur!! These babes are the ‘Misty Lavender’ variety, and are popping up their first true leaves in the greenhouse 🍃

Happy New Year!! Rest assured I’ve been busy growing pretties and planting in the background (when I’m not living at the shop 😂).

I can’t wait to share with you what’s been happening in the flower farm, and the exciting things happening this year in combination with xx

This Dahlia is called ‘Jive’ (no filter used). She’s a newbie for me this season, anemone type dahlia, and one of a few I’ve gone out of my comfort zone with. I’m totally smitten ♥️

First shipment of new season dahlias has arrived this morning …. just a little bit excited 🤩

I spy with my little eye…. Tulips popping up everywhere!! This year I’ve planted only the peony/double variety …. vintage plums, burnt oranges, salmon pinks and rich creams 🌷

Day Two of lifting dahlia tubers!! The sun is out so these babies can get a good dry out (and I’ve only lost one plant to rot after the recent STINK weather 😅)

Excess tubers will be available to purchase from in the springtime xx

Flower Bed #7 has gone into place recently - and I CAN’T WAIT to plant her out!!

She’s going to be the Spring Bulb Bed - salmon ranunculus, burgundy + copper Dutch Iris and a yummy mix of cream, vintage rose, tangerine and blush pink peony tulips (double tulips) xx

Hey Lovelies 😊 Just a wee post to update you on my floristry adventures xx

Since opening my florist studio, Moss & Co Floral Design in 2019, I’ve been working behind the scenes developing my grandparent’s orchard into a flowery, peaceful haven. The flower patch is in its second year supplying flowers and foliage to the shop, so I thought my little piece of paradise should be given a new name.
Isa is my Nannie’s name, with her and my grandad (and Dad!), planting out the original orchard in various plum and apple varieties. I remember her as a wee Scottish lady, with such a sweet personality.
As you can see below, the flowers are now taking over the same ground, and I’m soooo super excited about all the possibilities that lie ahead.
