How do you get over pre ceremony NERVES !?

Well, when you have decades of experience public speaking, you’re fine. But if you don’t like the limelight or feel comfortable in it, remember this magic trick: CONNECT. Out there in the audience you see your friends, family, perhaps vendors you’ve gotten to know through the planning stages all beaming love at you. It’s pure happiness and emotion. Connect with your heart. Settle your mind.

Those precious minutes while we wait for the groomsmen to come in, I find someone to connect with, get to know a little. In this case it was at a beautiful backyard ceremony in Opito Bay, Kerikeri. Thanks to Briar & Shay for sharing this one by .pictures 🌹🍾 🥂

It’s a wrap. My busiest wedding and events season finished up with this exquisite elopement at . Yeow! What a spot for romance!

Love the casual, relaxed nature of elopements and we all had jobs…who’s turned on the video? Who’s on music? Where’s catering? Oh it’s us.

So, photographer. I always offer to take a few pics but in this instance I couldn’t stop - the location, the couple, the happiness made it so easy. And no pro camera, just my trusty iPhone. So happy with the results.

When an elopement planned for the beach is foiled by rain you pop along to ! Thank you for hosting us Monday morning 😉.

Michael and Jeanie’s ceremony puts them on the top FIVE list of couples I’ve married who have known each other the longest (unrequited love or maybe Cupid 💘 kept missing his mark?). Met at 16 and 19; madly in love and married 56 years later. Wahoo! Never discount the boy you knew in high school….

What a wonderful time emceeing for the Rotary District 9910 conference at The Copthorne Waitangi. Caught up with my favourite Canadian at , learned a lot from Pat Sneddon’s presentation and boogied with my buddy Saturday night. A new little piece of art came home with me from our conference guest artist . Heart ❤️ FULL. Rotarians are a special group of people out there doing good for others. Special thanks to !

Island style weddings at Urupukapuka Island are something else! We’ve had brilliant weather all summer and this day at Otehei Bay was a corker. Warmth, sun, kids playing everywhere, happy family (the new MacDonald’s) and extended whanau. Hey even the celebrant and the florist were in for a swim after ceremony. Live love laugh.

Whoosh! Who said your dress has to be cream or white? Jo had her eye on styles by this UK designer for years and she found the perfect one to wear as her wedding dress.

Amazing colour theme at this exquisite event, shades of green, complimenting the art (or the other way around? Because Eagles Nest does it best 😉)

Thanks to the dream team that helped make Jo and David’s day perfect. Still buzzing! 💃

A sample of service 🙏 💗 - your ceremony printed on parchment, your wedding day love letters sealed (in case you’re tempted to read them again rather than wait for your one year anniversary ☺️😉) and a pleasant surprise arrives, addressed to Mr and Mrs.

In fact, Mrs Mills says it best:

‘Thank you so much for the gorgeous copy of our ceremony notes 🥰🥰 I was going to ask you for a copy and then they turned up today - our first letter addressed to mr and mrs mills, which I love and will probably keep forever along with the notes’ 🥰🥰🥰

Looking for a sweet country venue for...any event? The James Homestead, historic home and garden venue in Whangarei, gets my vote. Reasonably priced, amazing home catering, and accomodating parties of up to 120.

My favourite feature of this property? The "cooling off" room, for newlyweds! eek, it's the root cellar 😁🥰🤣😉 (see video tour), the perfect place to hide after the flurry of congratulations, the best secret hideaway for a cuddle (against the chill) and that private moment to whisper 'we did it!'.

note; the root cellar's cool Japanese and Chinese graffiti is about love and wine and the moon. How they all need to be shared with someone you love.

A hard working farmer and family man meets the love of his life online. Within two years they go from long distance (no fun) to going the distance (married fun), the whole wedding ceremony a surprise, organised by Jono from the cab of his tractor.

How will you pitch it to make sure she’s dressed up? Tell her I’ve booked a pregnancy photoshoot.

Venue? Out on one of the islands.

Plan B in case of rain? It won’t rain.

Are you sure it will work? She loves surprises and my motto is “do it once, do it right”.

The ultimate, intimate elopement! At home, with their faithful pets in on the action, and with their sons as witnesses.

In heart ❤️ these two feel they’ve been married since their commitment ceremony 13 years. Now (and since the commitment rings are hard to remove!) they’re married good and proper.

DYK that celebrants do much more than marry couples? We actually follow them through life until the exciting occasion of the birth of their first baby! Well, in this case anyways…😉🥰

I am so honoured to have officially welcomed baby Indie to the world, with all her most special people around her, AND at the place where her parents had their wedding reception

Fur brother Griffdog was definitely part of the celebration and wasn’t going to miss out on a thing.

So much love in this close knit family.
