Happy New Year everyone!
We hope your getting a break and having some good times with friends and family.

Here's where you'll find us this week,

Thurs 2nd and Fri 3rd we're at Himitangi beach parked outside the Hīmatangi Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park - thanks Ruben and Alice for having us. We'll be serving from 4pm- 8ish both nights.

And on Saturday 4th we''ll be at Robertson Prestige International Speedway .gates open at 4.30pm, racing starts at 6pm

That's 3 more locations for us before we take a few weeks off- can't wait! During that time we'll keep you updated with pics of our delicious campfire creations and progress of the new mobile smoke house! -new pizza oven in pics. Thanks Adam from Mabey Metalworks for bending up steel for the roof!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

The xmas meat orders are cooking and have been for some time now🥱😅.

Pick up is from 6pm at the A1 Sandblasters & Sacks Ltd carpark tonight. Cash and Eftpos available.
Your order will be wrapped in foil, however I suggest you bring a towel to carry home as they'll still be hot!

We are running at full capacity for orders (both smokers full) and short staffed so short-order/takeaways will be at minimum sorry 😞.
We will have a few ribs, spuds, and meat by the kg available.

Hello and season's greetings everyone!

It's been another big year, full of lessons learned and previous lessons implemented. We're looking forward to getting back into next year(after a break in January) with a brand new portable smokehouse- this things huge! It will enable us to expand the menu further, cook and hold more meat and venture into even more inclusive eating having dedicated vegan, DF, GF, and other special wood smoked dishes!

A big thank you to all our followers, regulars and patrons! Cooking good wholesome food for good wholesome people is why I do it, thanks for helping me live out my passion!

Joel and Milly from Knead: fresh bread, desserts and more for the fantastic brioche burger buns,

Kari from Tex-As Salsas the delicious Salsa Roja we use on our nachos,

Also thanks to Dry As Chips Firewood and Scenic Valley firewood for the endless supply of quality cooking wood and numerous farmers and transporters working tirelessly to get supplies where they're needed!

Thanks lastly to the fam for putting up with the late nights, early mornings, smoke, meat, mess and stress- looking forward to some holiday time with you!

Our last pop-up for the year is on Christmas Eve from 5pm, this is also the pick-up location for christmas orders!
Over the next couple of weeks you'll see us at Robertson Prestige International Speedway and at Himitangi Campground early January for a couple of nights- we'll keep you posted!

Oh no! Sorry folks, we've had to pull out last minute from our A1 pop-up tonight,
HOWEVER,
you can still get your Brisket fix tonight, Tuss’s Tucker - Tasty Thai Fusion and Toastie Boy will still be there AND they each have some of our beautiful smoked brisket to serve on in their own unique dishes so if you want to try something different head down soon, they're guaranteed to sell out!

Following up from last week's post, here's details for Christmas Eve meat orders and where you'll find us this week.

Pork shoulder or beef brisket cooked, $55/kg or 3.5-4.5 kg whole cooked $150 each.

Saint Louis Cut pork rib(or baby back, whichever is available) $60/ rack

Crackled Pork belly 1.5-2.5kg $100each

Lamb leg butterflied or bone in 2- 3kg, choice of Greek or Mediterranean style rubs $100 each

We have a busy week ahead! Here's where you'll find us,

Wednesday we'll be in Marton outside the Rangatiki Squash Club with Tuss’s Tucker - Tasty Thai Fusion and Toastie Boy

Thursday we'll see you at Robertson Prestige International Speedway for The International Sprint Cars. Gates open at 5pm, racing starts at 6.30

On Saturday we're in Whanganui for the Whanganui River Markets from 8.30-1pm then moving over to the Paddle Steamer Waimarie river boat shed for the rest of the day and then serving on the Waimarie from 5.30- 8pm.

And finally on Sunday we'll be in Feilding for FEILDING'S EAT STREET MARKET with Grillhaus NZ Wedgenz Tex-As Salsas and plenty more from 10am - 2.

Tomorrow night we'll be in Ashhurst at Ashhurst Memorial RSA Inc. With Tuss’s Tucker - Tasty Thai Fusion Toastie Boy and Grillhaus NZ from 5- 7.30.

We'll be doing a school holiday special- Triple Cheese MacNCheese -( cheddar, mozzarella and American cheese)Loaded with beef brisket or pork and sauces or just plain as a side.

We'll also have our new additions to the evening menu available, Loaded Keto Cauli bake and Loaded Veg Medley.
