Yesterday I went to on King street and enjoyed a one on one yoga session with CT at 7am. Today I’ve done some mindfulness at Dawn in the spa.

How freaking cool is it to make your own olive oil soap!! 😍 🫒🕊️ So happy with my yield. I ve cut mine a little thinner and slightly smaller than the usual bar size as mine will be mostly used for guests. 🙏 Adele’s workshop was awesome and so easy to follow. 🦋 Auntie Dilly’s soaps can be bought from Foxton Market and many others! #soaps #manawatu #workshops #love

You wouldn’t think it was winter, walking around the garden today with little Bonnie. Some beautiful New Zealand flora and fauna on show. Such a treat to have so many beautiful flowers and plants on show. 🌺 Growing up in the northern hemisphere there were no flowers in winter, all the trees were deciduous, so no leaves. 🍂 Aotearoa has an abundance of flowers on show in winter, such a joyful place to be all year round. Especially when you have the cutest dog in the world mooching through the undergrowth 😂. She’s so special, and deaf! If you lose sight of her she can’t hear when you call her name. So I’m often looking for her through the greenery. Ever felt that you had a connection to a particular place? Well this is it for me. This is why I chose Hewitts Homestead as our family home. It is such a big place we like to share it with others. We have a meeting / ceremony room for the times when you just need to get out of the city. Talking of which - it’s only 5 minutes from Massey University and 9 minutes from The Square in Palmy. Mostly our gardens are used for weddings. We would like to spread our wings and open it up to others. Grandma’s 90th birthday celebrations, mum and dads 50th wedding anniversary or simply a business meeting away from the office. We are able to provide food and drink and service staff. We offer functionality alongside privacy. Practicality alongside beauty and nature.

Come and spend some time in a house that was built in 1888 by a pioneer of the time; JDR Hewitt. We also offer accommodation for the business executive or if you need a weekend away with a loved one.
