My biggest fear of being an event planner came true this past week.
When it comes to setting up an event, 95% of it is just me.
So if something were to happen to me... oh, golly.. that would be the worst.

Well, it did...
7 days ago I went to the hospital unwell and well I'm still here.
Things have been awful, and I've been so sick.
The more days went by, still feeling ill the more I knew I wouldn't be going anywhere, anytime soon.

I did have some big events and the reality of my worst fear set in.

However, my village took over and did amazing.
From learning via message how to do vinyl and loading and packing everything and installing items they wouldn't normally do.. they did amazing!!
So much so that the 3 of them thought it'd be funny if they set up their own event business and not tell me who it is. 😆
I'm so grateful to my mum and husband, Dionne, and even my 7-year-old that helped.
Little Jackson mentioned that during setting up, he didn't want to stop he just wanted to keep going and have a break when it's done.
(Sounds like his mother)

Knowing the bigger setup was taken care of, there was one other decent size backdrop to do.
Huge Thank you to " The Celebrations", who days before took on the job, no questions asked, and did absolutely amazing.

I'm grateful for others in this business, ready to help and do what they can in times of need. Thank you!

Also, the biggest of BIG thank yous to my clients, diy clients etc..
It's clients like you who make things like this easier.

I'm blessed beyond measure.
Here's to getting better and back on the tools again myself.

Over the last couple of days I have been updating my website with some photos and going over just some of the weddings I was blessed to create from start to finish / coordinated , decorated, oragnized etc...and I feel like I can truly say I am so proud of what I have done.

Ekk Gosh, I've never been one to say something like that let alone write it .. but dang!.. going through photos upon photos of 100's of events a year I get to create, I am truly blessed.

We often get asked if we can do 2 different themes for 1 party.
The answer is absolutely yes!

I have 2 little ones who are 2yrs apart, but birthdays are 1 week apart, so there didn't seem to be any point having a party each when they were younger , especially when all the same people would be coming to both.

No matter the themes they chose, we always were able to tie them perfectly together.

If you are in a situation like I was... give us a message.
We for sure can bring both themes to life in one party.

It's been a hot min since I've been back here. I spent years, weeks, weekends, and many all nighters with hours upon hours creating magical events in this space. A little about me and this setup. When I'm not working or with family, I am spending time with these girls. The church I belong to , I am in charge of our 11 - to 17-year-old girls. Myself and 2 other amazing women plan and put on activities every Thursday for them and teach them in a class on Sundays. This particular night, which apparently their words was the best activity so far, we celebrated one of the girls' birthdays with a little paint and sip. I can not get over how amazingly creative they all are.. or maybe that's because my paintings consist of stick figures and flowers and anything is better than that... I'm more the event creative side hahaha But, These girls are amazing! They're special young women destined for great things and are an absolute joy to be around. They mean the world to me , and to be able to be with them and watch/help them on their journey is something special.
