FEEDBACK.
Would love for you to take five mins to tell us of your experience of the Piha Matariki Festival. Good, bad, other or both. It’s how we make things better.
But please DON’T leave it on this post.
Instead, head to this survey so we can collate it professionally & distribute results easily.

Congratulations, Piha. You did it! Our goal was to restore mana, strengthen our wairua and step into the New Year with a renewed energy. We smiled so much that our faces ache today, we hugged and hugged, danced, sung, hollered and squealed with glee. It has been magical, full of aroha and delight. AND we raised a pretty decent amount of money to boot!
What happens next?
1) We'll distribute the funds out into the community this week
2) An event round-up of video and photos will be posted - we'd love to see yours too, please tag us!
3) We're holding a debrief with our team of volunteers and organisers to get their feedback & give them a pat on the back and a beer
4) We want your input too! There will be a survey posted online for feedback to help with next year's planning. More on that soon.
5) Finally, we'll write up a report on how it went and publish it.
Then, we're going to have a wee bit of a lie down ;0)

How fitting that the rain starts now, as we climb into bed at the conclusion of what could only be described as an epic start to our now (we hope) inaugural Matariki festival. The weekend was made complete with a wonderful display of talent at Piha RSA, followed by a sensational set by Mike Murane Quartet Our Place By The Green. A highlight amongst a series of highlights. Cheers to Jodi, Shannon, Coral and crew for their hospitality ❤️
On now! Head down and grab a moment in the spotlight. Or support a friend! Piha definitely has talent. Head to Piha RSA !
What a great morning! Lots of kites in the air and happy faces everywhere. We can safely say the Annual Kite Day was a success. Thanks for coming along - please feel free to share photos.
BAD NEWS / GOOD NEWS:
Bad news: last night we announced we had raised $14.5k at the auction. That was not actually correct.
GOOD NEWS: we actually raised just over $30k.
The google sheet had an error and was spitting out the wrong total. After a hefty reconciliation this morning, we can now officially share that there was $29,827 spent at the auction and over $1k given at the door.
We'll be getting out emails to the winners this morning. If you didn't hang about to get yours, send an email to jenene @ jenenecrossan. com and we'll get you sorted.
Thank you to all the donors, the bidders, the supporters, the sponsors and volunteers. What a magnificent outcome!
