The Motive team is back - recharged & excited to jump into 2025!
Last year we pulled out all the stops—crossing oceans, dazzling gala guests, and delivering events that left a lasting impression (and a few sore feet from all the dancing).

Anna and Rebecca both had highlights that showcase the talent and resources in our own backyard this year. One of Anna’s standout moments this year was working with the incredible team at Napier Municipal Theatre . The venue staff went above and beyond, making the event truly special. A memory she’ll never forget was seeing at least 10 lovely ladies, all wearing hand-sewn sequin jackets they’d created themselves to wear as ushers for our gala evening. Talk about dedication and sparkle!

One of Rebecca's highlights this year has to be working with Sarah and the incredible team at Centrepiece Corporate. "They were an absolute dream to collaborate with in the lead-up to the stunning White Lotus gala dinner. Their creativity and attention to detail transformed the venue with theming that was perfectly on brief" —truly a showstopper moment for the client and her.🌟

2024, what a year its been and we are excited to say farewell and hello to 2025!
I could not be prouder of the team we have built and the events we have delivered. Its time to reflect on that and look to the future. Today we will be celebrating our success in the sun on Waiheke!

As we wrap up an incredible year, we want to thank our amazing clients, suppliers, and partners for making 2024 one to remember. Your support and collaboration have been a driving force behind every successful event we’ve delivered.

Our team will be taking a break from the 20th of December, coming back fresh and ready to roll on the 9th of January. Until then, we hope you have an incredible holiday season filled with good times and great company. 🥂

It might be the lead up to the festive season but that doesn’t mean things have slowed down around here! We’ve been busy, with the team from Marriott Hotels popping in to see us. The team met with Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort and Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali , Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas , Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection , JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa and JW Marriott Auckland as well as W Brisbane. It was great to have you all!

We also attended the Business Events Expo held at the Viaduct Events Centre - this was a great opportunity to connect with new and existing suppliers and check out new innovations in the industry.

This time last year, Motive curated and designed an incredible experience for Stonewood Homes. We embarked on the most loved activity of their time in Kuala Lumpur—the largest Vespa tour the city had ever seen!
The vibrant streets of Kuala Lumpur came alive as the attendees cruised through its iconic landmarks. The laughter, the connections, and the thrill of exploring the city in such an extraordinary way are something that we still reflect on even a year later!

For a truly unique venue, Simon’s pick for the Best of the Year has to be The Raft in Perth. "This incredible floating venue offers such a memorable setting for a welcome or gala dinner. Being out on the water with breathtaking views of the city skyline creates an intimate and unforgettable experience."
A huge shoutout to The Raft team for providing such a standout space that would transform a dinner from great to amazing! It’s a venue that really leaves an impression.

After working with AV companies overseas, Ops Lead Nicky has one clear standout for her Best of the Year pick: Tec HQ NZ in Auckland. Ryan and his team have set the bar high with their flexibility, skills, and being great to deal with. A huge thank you for being so incredible to work with this year - here’s to many more successful events together!

From the moment ARG NZ Conference delegates arrived at the luxurious W Brisbane, they were greeted with a warm welcome at the picturesque W Wet Deck, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. The conference continued to impress with a dynamic trade show at the BCEC, showcasing the best from over 20 top tier suppliers. The experience didn't stop after, with a Bollywood Night Gala in the grand W ballroom.

Over the course of 2 days conferencing, more than 200 delegates built connections, and celebrated innovation, collaboration, and community. With the good vibes of Sid The Entertainer as MC, the event was executed in true Motive style!
