MLT had a stellar night at the Wellington Theatre District awards!

We had two entries into the festival this year and are super proud of all our actors, creative and production teams! It really takes a village!

We took home:
🥇 Best Comedy (for the second year in a row!) for The Miser
🥇 Best Costume and Make Up for the Miser
🥇 Excellence in Acting for Slaine McKenzie for his role as Cleante in the Miser
🥇 Best new district director for Nick Edwards for The Miser

We were also shortlisted for:
🎭 Best overall production for The Miser
🎭Best technical production for The Mother
🎭Best set for The Miser
🎭Best ensemble production for The Miser
🎭 Excellence in Acting for Teresa Sullivan for her role as Maître Jacques in The Miser

⭐️ And a magic moment award for Jodie Mahan’s emotional breakdown in The Mother.

A wonderful result for a year of hard mahi for our little theatre that could!

Well done to everyone else in the district for a wonderful year of community theatre 🥰

A big congratulations to the cast and crew of The Incredible Vanishing, with the postponed season closing yesterday.

Sometimes life throws a load of curveballs your way and these wonderful lot have supported each other and persevered, helped along by our fantastic audiences.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to once again postpone The Incredible Vanishing.

We have to put the health and safety of our cast first and let them recover.

They have put together an excellent show
And we look forward to seeing them back on stage later this year.

New dates coming very soon and all ticket holders will be contacted.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone the opening of THE INCREDIBLE VANISHING.
The show will now open next Friday on 1 November and run at 11am and 3pm on 2, 3, 9 and 10 November.
Our ticketing team will be in contact with everyone who has tickets for this weekend!
