Effy & Oliver had a list of potential stunning countries to elope at, including The US, Spain & Italy but after coming across Queenstown their destination was decided as they were both simply blown away when they saw the astonishing views & we quote "other cities immediately seemed to pale in comparison, we both knew that there won't be a better place to get married".

Thanks to our babe of a celebrant, Tess from Weddings in Queenstown, here are some HOT TIPS for writing your vows to all our future honey's eloping soon.

1. Share your vows with your celebrant so there isn’t too much of an overlap between the ceremony content & vows.

2. Use layers, the first one being a wee summary of why you love your partner, the second being how they make you feel & the third being your promises.

3.Add a touch a humour, great for crowds & good for a wee chuckle if it is just the two of you.

4. Don’t worry about length - you can say a couple of lines or have two A4s pages. This is one of the biggest moments of your life, make the meaning count - not the number of words!

5. Don't use chat GPT! Sit down with a cuppa or a gin & use old mate Google for some inspo if needed but take the time to get it right (not the day before your elopement).
