2IC EVENT MANAGER ROLE

We are looking for an experienced event manager to come and join our team.... Rosie, Robin, Jilly & the team here at Artisan 😀

The job would ideally kick off as soon as possible and run through until the end of March.

We are looking for a real people’s person, someone who loves events and most importantly offers that real personal touch and detail!!

Your key responsibility will be to assist our Event Manager help run corporate events & weddings at beautiful venues and wineries around the region, Queenstown, Cromwell and sometimes Wanaka.

You would look after clients and brides on the day of their wedding or event.

About the role:

Great remuneration, great team and lots of support.

4 days on / 3 days off per week…..2 office days 9-5pm packing events, site visits, meetings, preparing the events followed by 2 events per week (event day/nights can change at times) Must be ok to work the 2 events per week. Occasional 5-day weeks on larger event weeks.

Minimum hours would be 30 hours +

We believe in a work life balance so we will ensure you have your 2-3 consecutive days off.

Skills and experience:

3 years + experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering quality service at a high standard.

Excellent leadership - manage the front of house staff, embracing the team and keeping them stimulated.

Strong communication skills to look after our staff, suppliers, clients.

Event experience or strong hospitality

Fluent English

Ability to adapt and be flexible to change.

Friendly, personable and professional with a high level of presentation.

An eye for detail

The ability to build a rapport with our clients from the get go

YOU MUST BE IN NEW ZEALAND available to interview in person - with the right to work legally in New Zealand with a current work visa. No sponsorships available.

You will be hard working and have a great work ethic who works well in a team environment.

Full New Zealand drivers license is required.

CHEF DE PARTIE

Are you a passionate chef looking to work with an innovative team that values fresh, local ingredients? Artisan Catering is on the hunt for a skilled Chef de Partie to bring their culinary expertise to our vibrant kitchen.

About the Role:

Work alongside our talented team to create mouthwatering dishes that showcase Aotearoa’s finest produce. Lead by example, ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations and maintaining the highest food safety standards. Contribute to menu development with creative flair, staying true to Artisan’s dedication to excellence. Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to manage prep, inventory, and kitchen efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen, preferably with exposure to premium catering or restaurant environments.
A strong understanding of traditional and modern cooking techniques.
A reliable team player who thrives under pressure and is committed to delivering top-notch service.
Flexibility to work across varied shifts, including weekends and events.
Must have driving license
Must have valid work rights to work in New Zealand
Fluent English preferred

CASUAL EVENT STAFF

Our busy season has kicked in so we are on the hunt for some great event wait and bar staff for casual shifts for both weddings and corporate events to add to our database for the coming spring & summer events!

Must have experience in hospitality - wait and/or bar experience.
Transport (however we do carpool)
Presentable, reliable and hard working.

Great team, great environment and great pay

Must have a valid work visa, NZ bank account and IRD number.

As a starter we have a wedding this Saturday at a local winery and we are after a few extra hands for two different shifts to work alongside our team.

Shifts 12-9.30 or 3pm-close.

I am looking for someone on a part time basis to work alongside our company GM & event manager in our frankton office .

3 days per week. (15 hours)
9.30-2.30

Accreditations/visas/sponsorships
Employment contracts
Payroll support
Accounts - accounts payable & receivable
Data entry, spreadsheets etc

Must be available throughout the school holidays. Option to work from a home office over this period if required.

MUST have experience in ALL of these areas.

Long term residents preferred and needs to be locally based.
