I could make fresh flowers bouquets all day long. They are my favourite thing to do.
Just been loving play dates with the flowers I pressed over the previous summer season. These are a few of the Wild About Eve Pressed Flower wall hangings I have made - that feel ing of special girlhood days long past.
We have a young friend from Japan. He often stops by and looks at what’s going on in my shop, and taking photos of the beautiful flowers I may have in stock that day. Yesterday he was looking at these wall hangings as I was working on them. I told him the history of this art originated with the Samurai in Japan and is called, Oshibana. He speaks great English but is still figuring some things out. I love the way he responded by translating this word, by very firmly placing one hand on his forearm, and said “hard push”, and then “bana - flowers”. Exactly! This art is the pushing hard on flowers to press them while they dry, becoming a forever ‘held in time’ piece of nature’s beauty. 💜💜

The face and personality that is Wild About Eve.
Often if I’m wandering through a website, I want to know “who made this beautiful stuff?” Somehow the face is an important revelation seen in the created pieces. You see in the design the personality of the designer, and that makes each piece personal, unique, and individual. Sometimes, when I see who is behind the designs, I might say “of course!”, other times, “well, that’s a pleasant surprise”. But I like to know their face.
So, just so you know, this is me!
I love popping a little wild into my designs. If it has structure, or a set form, I feel the need to set it off or set it apart with something that strays wildly and rebelliously. I love texture and curls, I love asymmetrical and open designs. This is all part of my design personality.
I wonder if your response is, “of course!” or “well, that’s a surprise”? 😌

A few of my latest Designer Dried Flower designs.
1. The Hat
Oh my! I had such a gorgeous warm soul-filling week in Fiji in June. Mostly it was walking, reading books, eating and swimming, but I did get in a little bit of shopping and found these stunning sun hats which I lugged through the airport, and kept my fingers crossed as they were placed in the overhead luggage compartment on the plane. AND, this one is now ‘flowered’ and hanging cafe 😍
2. The Skull. A client gave me this petite skull and antlers after I ‘flowered’ a large one for her friend’s 50th. I love this one! Somehow it’s design just came out perfectly pretty.
3. The Wreath. This is a custom made “happy birthday to you” gift ordered, designed and delivered for a client’s special loved one. Lucky her!
4. Mini bottled dried flowers. These cuties were made for to sit on their small indoor tables. Flowers! Coffee! Pastries! Perfect!!
5. The Dried Flower Bloom Bar. Just recently we set up this flower buffet (choose your own stems) giftware store. You can design to your heart’s content by choosing your favourite dried flower stems. A great idea and heaps of creative fun.

Another day, another beautiful bouquet.
Poppies for Poppy
Earlier in the 23/24 wedding season, I got to create these poppy-filled bouquets. Poppy’s mum grew 90% of the flowers. I literally turned up and spiralled my heart away with buckets of flowers on hand 💜
Finally popping (no pun intended) these up here on Insta.
The sun was calling. So was the warm sand. I had a few moments break and thought I’d answer the call. I just wanted to sit and enjoy.
Damn! There was vine! And it too called. I had to answer it’s call, and this happened.
Oh my! I have the best job ever! The response I get from people when I deliver flowers is absolutely priceless and totally filling.

I don’t know about you, but we always celebrate Valentines Day as a 30 plus years married couple, and as a family with 4 boys. It’s about having a special day to celebrate love, to remember what love really is for us. Could we do this on any day? For sure! But for us, we use the calendar Valentine’s Day to give us the boost we need to make sure our loved ones know for sure that they are loved. I am heart and soul bonded and in love with the boys in my life and I want them to have that love embedded deep within so that no matter what, they know! Valentine’s Day love is a day for lovers, let’s help all our lovers know, because yes it’s a day to celebrate love, but also we all need reminding. Love leaks, so let’s fill up again this 14th.
And yes, I often send my boys flowers 🙂

Dried flower chandelier I found a stump with roots attached on a walk one day not long ago. It called out to me as often this sort of thing does, and begged of me to help it in its dance with death. It was beautiful just as it was in its natural form. I just added a little to it. I love delivering flowers to the bride. I love their reaction. Second best, is when the bride asks her dad to pick up the flowers. Oh my! There’s something about a dad on the day of his daughter’s wedding. The softness. The emotion of ‘giving away’ his little girl. The “I would do anything for her happiness” that you can hear in their voice.
