The 40 hectare Park is owned by the Nelson A&P Association & is on Lower Queen St, Richmond.

Standardbreds are fast becoming a well known breed in the show ring throughout New Zealand. They are admired for their ease of training, loyal nature and beauty.

PLEASE NOTE:
Washbourn Gate - Main Entrance to Richmond Park Showgrounds.
Restricted Entry from 22nd April until 3rd May

Widening of the entrance to the park will commence next Monday and will take approx. two weeks with restricted use of the entrance for this time.
From the 22nd April please use Gum Gate entrance next to the croquet club and opposite the medical centre.
Once inside the gate turn left and follow the gravel road straight through the woodland, past the sheds to the sealed roadway, turn right and continue to your location. When exiting please follow the same route but in reverse.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The Richmond Park Market is on every Sunday rain or shine and the Nelson Axemens Club is based at the Park and runs many of their events here.
