This is not ‘forever’ just a little while ✨

I apologise if you have been interested in ordering from my little business however I must take time to refocus my energy on healing my tīnana as I am māuiui 🧘🏽‍♀️

Blessed evening Ggames whānau 💜

Before the night ends, here is a snippet of mahi my brother had helped me with - to trace characters on to plyboard, prepped and ready to paint 🙌🏽🙏🏽

Here is the beginning of the “Pin the Object” game layout for a takaro tribe inspired Bundle of Fun! 🤩

The aim will be to blindfold the kids and have them place the felt letters where they think it should actually be which is on their kākahu.. closest obviously wins 😍

In November 2021, Whilst I was completing The Indigineous Ka Hao E-Commerce Programme - My Aunty Niki Walker-Chapman ordered a bundle of fun for her son’s 5th birthday and the theme was to be Minecraft with a little bit of Dinosaurs 🥳

May I add that this particular aunty of mine is one who used to run games at most if not all birthdays for me and all my cuzzies when we were tamariki!! 🤩

Thank you to all the aunty’s who go above and beyond for THE KIDS! Yous are the real MVP on the day… for always showing up and going the extra mile 💕

This set was such a privilege to create 😍

Kia Ora Ggames’ Whānau 💜

In August 2021, The lovely māmā Kya Simon ordered a Bundle of Fun to add a touch of entertainment to her son’s 1st birthday party 🥳

As her son is named after a specific styled car within the Holden range, māmā wanted the games customised to the Theme of Holden 🚘 🤩

Unfortunately, due to the RSV outbreak that took place within our communities of tamariki, the celebration had to be cancelled/postponed 💕

However, she still went through with purchasing the piñata and this was the result 😍🥰

A silent snippet of a Nerf Inspired Bundle of Fun 💜

In August 2021, for my nephew’s 7th birthday; I had the privilege of designing a Bundle of Fun and customizing it to the theme of Nerf 🤩

His māmā and I arranged that every kid who attended would have their own Nerf Gun and that’s when the light bulb moment struck “The kids can use the Nerf Guns to interact with the games!” 😍

Sooo overjoyed I got to planning, creating the game layouts with the focus of using their Toy Gun to aim at scoring systems.. this was the outcome ✨

A big massive thank you to my cuzzy’s Justine Horua + Paora Tahana for giving me the opportunity to create a bundle of fun for your boy’s special day + for being my first extended order as it taught me a lot of ‘wrongs’ and ‘rights in terms of which materials and resources are best to use and what is not 🥰

Ggames Humble Beginnings ✨

One year ago, the seed for Ggames had just been sown 🌱

Like any māmā, I wanted to go all out for my girls 1st birthday despite being told “she won’t remember” I needed to go “ALL OUT” with the decorations and throw party games like the good old days just like when we were kids 😅

BUT.. no store or online retailer in NZ sold Sesame Street Themed Games and if by the slightest chance I did find some overseas, the price of added fees became more than the product itself

So to bypass all the worry, I created a few games and props (with a big helping hand from whānau) in a DIY style and majority with recycled materials;

Hellooooo Ggamers! 💜

I apologise for the lack of posts and content throughout my social media platforms, however I assure you there has been so much going on not only behind the scenes for Ggames but also in my personal life

However if you didn’t know..

On the 20th of Feb 2022, I successfully graduated from a Globally Recognised Indigenous E-commerce Programme - Ka Hao I Te Ao

This program took me into a boundless world of inspiring indigenous business people, who shared gems of all sorts, I was in a beautiful group (Akowhakatere) who supported and advised me and in full, this program took around 6 months to complete as we had to generate a set amount of sales in order to pass this program! This course has enabled me to see my business from a e-commerce lens which is fitting as majority are shopping online these days.

Now, that I have completed this course..

My 2022 goal for Ggames:
Is to sell 20 orders by the end of the year!

It may not seem like much but I only started this in June last year and this number makes me uncomfortable because really I am not in a position to offer this much as one set can take up to a month to make while being a stay at home māmā but I am DETERMINED to make Ggames legit 💜

Me & My Princess working on a Minecraft Set of Games for an upcoming birthday 🥳 💜

The local wood mills put bins out on the side of the roads with off cuts and unwanted wood products 🪵

Cardboard packaging is everywhere 📦

Tin cans, plastic/glass bottles and aluminium cans are thrown out to recycling centres to be re-used 🥫

Soooo, I have no shames to rummage through the free bins and take them to upcycle 😌

I genuinely see these materials as tāonga (treasure) and know I can give them a second life with added value 💎

How I do this… I upcycle the materials into the game layouts and then customise them by hand painting and decorating 🪚🔨

I have a mission to make Ggames a solution in minimising the waste that birthday party’s can accumulate within our Taiao (environment) 🌱

NOT TO ADD MORE UNNECESSARY WASTE ♻️

That’s the beauty of Personalising them to any theme or tailored however you want..

You get to keep them as a keepsake and have a new entertainment layout for your kids, whānau and friends. Rather than throwing it out, you ha e another source of entertainment to play and interact with other than technology ✌🏽💜

I have 3 weeks until I complete the Ka Hao E-commerce Program with Te Whare Hukahuka and will be launching my online store through shopify.

So I will be absent from new orders and posting content for this page but will try my best to engage it as much as I can!
