Geez… is this thing still on 😅😅
Looooong over due update post on what the face is going on that no one asked for lol
We are here to announce officially that we are taking a step back in our business. We are no longer catering during the week and only on limited selected weekends.
This was a very hard decision for us but the best move for our Whānau going forward.

We are filled with so much gratitude and love from everyone who has supported us on this journey. We survived a lock down, inflation and a recession but we feel it’s time for us to tackle our hardest hurdle yet….. 9-5 jobs😅😅😅😅😂
The shares, likes and follows have all contributed to us still being here 4 years later. With out all of you, our community, we wouldn’t have had the success that we did.

To everyone who has messaged lately we are sorry for delayed or no replies. Our email also got hacked 🤦🏽‍♂️ but we have it back and will reply asap.

We thought for Matariki we'd finally introduce ourselves to our socials. So Kia Ora e te iwi, We're Joseph and Margaret, the owners of Only Us Catering👋🏽👋🏽.

If you've ever dm'd, emailed or called us and wondered who you were talking to; Well it's us. The faces behind all the correspondence😅.

We've had the pleasure of meeting so many of you throughout the almost 5 years we've been in business.
From helping celebrate milestones in your lives, to providing kai to help you get through your long hui. We've catered to so many different whānau and organisations across the rohe and we've loved every connection we've made and challenge we've faced.

Your marae has no oven? no worries we got you😅. Your numbers have increased by 50pax? kei te pai we'll work it out. You have no running water or electricity onsite cause it's a Kiwifruit block in the middle of nowhere? Say less, we'll set up an outdoor kitchen😅.

We're grateful for all the support thus far, the challenges we've faced along the way and future opportunities that may arise.

We're gearing up for another NMIA Wananga this weekend so here's a look at the last wananga we catered for at Paruaharanui Marae.

It's starting to get colder but Only Us has you covered through all seasons.

Plum Braised Lamb Shanks have been a super popular option when ordering our Hot Box option in our Boxed Lunch Menu.

Fathers day was the first holiday which saw us launch our Specialty Celebration Graze Boxes! These graze boxes change with the seasons so we'll always aim to theme them to the respective holiday 😁.

Fa'afetai tele lava to all those who ordered a Father's Day Graze Box for their Pāpā. We appreciate the blind trust you all put in us, considering we gave so little information lol. Seeing the looks on some of the Dads faces when they recieved their boxes really was a highlight of the day and reminded us why we love what we do!

Last weekend we had the absolute pleasure of catering for Paehinahina Mourea Trust down at Te Takinga Marae.
Not only did we get to catch up with some family who attended the hui, we also got to catch the beautiful sunrise across the lake. How lucky are we to have such beautiful places we get to work out of! Thanks for having us and congrats to those who were newly elected.

Last week we were grateful to be able to spend time down at Owhata Marae catering for a FENZ Wānanga.

As usual we forgot to take pics of most of the kai we made over the days🤦🏽‍♀️ but here's a few we managed to get.

From Braised Beef Hot Pot, to Creamy Mushroom Chicken Soup, to the request of Steam Pudding and Custard for Breakfast; we had a little bit of everything to keep everyone fueled and ready to go during their seminars.

Our dad served 25+ years with the Fire Service before becoming an Anglican Priest. It was crazy to meet people at the wānanga who knew our dad before he was a dad and to put faces to the names we've heard growing up as dad told his "war stories".

Ngā mihi nui Kereama for letting us be apart of this wānanga; we enjoyed meeting you all and hope you all made it to your homes safely and full on Steam Pudding 🤣.
