Minnie Mouse 🐭 ❤️.
I almost wasn't going to post this cake. The person who ordered this asked the day before pickup to pay on pickup, as they hadn't made payment online. If you know me, I can be a little too trusting that people are genuine. The next day arrives and mess around with pickup, and they apologize and say they will come first thing in the morning. The next day arrives another story with apologizing sating they will organise payment and collection. The next day comes, and they say pickup will be at 12 pm. And then nothing. No reply to any of my messages, just ghosted. I hope the person who ordered this cake sees this and sees the hard work, time, and aroha that I put into my mahi. I also hope that they realize that doing this directly impacts my small business. I am not a bigger business who can just absorb these losses.
Don't be a dick like that person. Pay and pickup your orders.
I ended up gifting this cake to Love soup Rotorua who gifted it to someone in the community even if it wasn't as top quality as it would have been when I first made it, I'm glad someone still got to enjoy it.

Last minute cake order (no fault of my client), with a jungle animal theme. I had no idea if the edible images would arrive in time from (but they did because they are super quick) but attempted my first ever fondant animal. By no means perfect but I am pretty chuffed with myself how he turned out. Nothing you ant learn on a late Friday night by watching YouTube tutorials 😅🤩

🍰🧁 "My business is Goody Goodies, I am essentially a sweet bakery open from Wednesday – Saturday. I have yummy, sweet stuff in my cabinet, and I do catering, cakes and grazing platters to order. Everything I make is all my own recipes, apart from a few which were my nan's recipes. I work on location by myself working on baking all the cabinet food, however when people enquire about the catering part of my business, I am happy to cater to order. What I love most about my job is the interaction I have with people; I love a good gasbag. I get people that come in all the time, I get to know them and all about their whānau as they get to know me and all about my whānau, it’s like developing friendships with my customers. It doesn’t feel like a business transaction when you come into my shop, I treat people as if they were coming into my home. 🏡

I always loved Rotorua, my only memories of a kid travelling were to Rotorua, either a school camp or whānau holidays, I just remember I always loved visiting Rotorua and I told myself one day I would move here, and I did. It was a chocha weekend with all of these beauties going out over the weekend.
