My Hometown is Rotorua. I was raised, educated, met my High School love, and married there.
So, while I travel the breadth of the Country for wedding soirees, it's always a pleasure being part of a couples wedding day in Rotorua.
It also never ceases to amaze me how I encounter engaged couples. In this case, I met this Groom-to-be during a tragic time in our lives as a family.
He happened to be the Police Officer in attendance at the motor vehicle accident scene of my Father-In-Law 2 years ago in Rotorua.
As someone who grew up in a single parent household, my Father-In-Law became the "Dad"
I never had.
Sadly, Dad passed away as a result of his injuries within days following the accident.
I count it a special privilege to soon be penning the opening lines in a new chapter in the lives of this young Man and his Bride-to-be as they
cho💍se each other forever in the presence of those dearest to them.

Since April 2020, a global pandemic, and contracting horrid Covid-19 🦠 we elected as a business to stop doing Face-to-Face wedding rehearsals and engage instead with clients ‘virtually’ via facetime (or “zoomies”).
This serves to protect our gorgeous ‘nearly weds’ from any unnecessary risk of becoming sick (and vice versa) leading into their most special of days.

THURSDAY THROWBACK - A Styled Wedding Shoot
I get to do some really cool stuff, and collab on even cooler projects. Here's an example of a wedding styled shoot (7 years ago would you believe?!?!).
On reflection, I'm totally amazed we achieve so much, given all the moving parts involved.
Three wedding themes shot in a single day on the one site. VR Rotorua Lake Resort provided the perfect location to do a multiple theme(s) photoshoot with a fantastic collective of creatives, many of whom I've still the privilege of working alongside.
