Honest Lawyer 5k Fun Run/Walk Series 2024/25 Results



Thank you for turning out tonight, a bumper festive crowd for the last event of 2024. 177 turned out for a warm, sunny, quiet Peninsular Course, sandwiched between stormy weather spells.

Monday's event is the last 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝗸 fun run and walk before Christmas.

Lots going on!
⭐It's the Peninsular Course 👏
⭐Bring cash to win a Christmas hamper in a raffle supporting the basketball club.
⭐'𝗛𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸' superchef is on the barbeque for the sausage sizzle.
⭐Everyone, wear your Christmas garb to be in to win the competition for best festive outfit.
⭐It's the 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹 Shoe Draw for those eligible.

Remember everyone must check in even if you have paid in advance (thank you!)

A reminder that 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 are under age 16, take a second to consider if you have turned 16 ☺️

We are trialling having provisional live results on the 𝘄𝘄𝘄.𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘆𝗲𝗿𝟱𝗸.𝗼𝗿𝗴 website instead of printing them out on the night. Save some 🌲🌲🌲

Race 6 of the Honest Lawyer 5k Series tomorrow evening (Monday 2nd), round the Peninsula course. 6pm start for Early Runners & Walkers, 6:10 for Runners.

Online entries close 9pm tonight. On the day registration from 5pm tomorrow.

Please remember to stay hydrated throughout the day - it’s likely to be another warm one!

The weather looks mint for Sunday's Edridge Contracting Teetotal Traverse 2024. A pleasant 14 degrees is forecast for competitors to take in the alpine air over the distance of your choice; Half Marathon, 13km and 8km, all within the pristine Big Bush-Teetotal Conservation Area.

Entries close on Thursday 21 November at 23:59 at www.nelsonlakestrails.org. No entries on the day as the team and volunteers have an awesome event to deliver. All proceeds go back into active recreation projects across the Top of the South.

We look forward to seeing you on the St Arnaud-Lake Rotoiti start line!

With Edridge Contracting Teetotal Traverse 2024 only a fortnight away, a few of us went around the course this morning for our final pre-race weekend checks.

Numbers are limited. Get in fast to secure your entry! Entries are open until Thursday 21 November. Advance lunch orders close next Sunday evening (17 November) and can either be made by adding to your entry or mailing in.

The Honest Lawyer 5K Fun Run/Walk Spring Series is fast approaching, commencing on Monday 28 October (Labour Day) for an eight-week run. Entries for all events are open now via the website https://honestlawyer5k.active4good.org/ - note that series entries close next Sunday, 27 October at 9pm.

We look forward to seeing you there. If anyone is not running but could spare an hour of time to help marshal at these events, please get in touch.

Honest Lawyer 5k Series - Spring Series
