Tauranga BLUES JAM

Tauranga BLUES JAM Where blues-lovers gather on the second Wednesday of each month (except January) to enjoy and/or play great blues. See y'all.

Bookings for spots, call/txt Simon 027 247 7767 Tauranga Blues Jam is open to all who would like to perform blues material - whether it be solo (with or without backing), duo or full band. Just give us a call (preferably two weeks ahead if requiring backing) so we can schedule you in. More often than not we end up with a full program for the night but occasionally there is room for more casual jammers. Of course we are also there for followers - without whom it would not work!

Morning to all the Tauranga Blues Jammers. The weather may have been god awful last night but the music and the musicians were brilliant. Thanks to Brood and the two young lads strutting their stuff; The Fine Cadillacs who I was privileged to fill in as their drummer; DMG - always in fine form; Kaos Blues R***e Band; Craig Norma;, John Michaelz Band - with Curtis, Mike Kirk, Mike Butler and Simon Mottram, and finally The DHB band with Adam Pendred, Denise Hyde, Beano, Ken Green, and featuring the ever talented Stew Martin on lead guitar. On behalf of the house band, I would like to thank all those who donated at the door and to our gorgeous two ladies Cheryl and Lesley who collect said donations. ‘Til next month then, Cheers.

‘Tis the morning after the morning after The Tauranga Blues Jam. Another awesome night of amazingly talented musicians - starting with Craig Norman, Janne and her band, Murray Hancox and the Horn Dogs with Paul Smith on lead guitar, The Fine Cadillacs, Hilary, Kaos Blues R***e Band, DMG, Roots Band, The Hangar Band, and newbies The Brood.

Also, thanks to Cheryle for collection donations at the door.

And let’s not forget Chill Factor (Ken Green, Mike Butler, Glenn Potier, Gary Harvey, and Simon Fenlon) who are there well before anybody arrives and still there long after everyone has gone.

Unfortunately, one muso couldn't wait for his timeslot and left without saying a word!!! We try to put people in a time slot that they would like but it's not always possible.

Anyway, see you all next month.

Cheers
