**THEFT**

Sad day today for us as the day after the one year anniversary for Flip, some low life has stolen the heart of business. The Honda EU70i generator was stolen in the early hours of March 10.
If anybody come across a second hand generator with around 800 hours on the clock being flicked off for a deal or know any information, please contact either myself (Dylan) on 022 051 4470 or the Papamoa police.

Who knows when we'll be back, hopefully we will be able to sort something out soon.

Kia Ora Flip Whanau!

In this edition of the music series we're introducing a personal favourite of mine, Little Bushman.

A band whose sound is a mixture of 60's psychedelic, blues, prog, and late night improvised jam sessions. They captured their sound and experience of a live show perfectly on all their albums especially with the New Zealand symphony orchestra.

A band full of talented musicians and lead by my hero Warren Maxwell (Fat Freddy's Drop and Trinity Roots) whose distinctive voice delivers powerful lyrics in English and Te Reo. A great example is in the song Jimi which is a wondrous tribute to the great Jimi Hendrix, a 12 minute song on album or +20 minutes live.

The band are currently raising funds to have their debut album pressed onto Vinyl via PledgeMe and a link can be found on their page so go support some great New Zealand music and donate if you can.

To continue the music series this week I'm sharing with you the singer/songwriter, film composer and pianist Patrick Watson who featured on the last post with Cinematic Orchestra.

Some of the most moving music I've listened to that's a combination of dreamy indie pop, melodic piano and a soft fragile voice that is so pleasing to the ear.
I suggest listening to Adventures in your own backyard as an introductory album or listen to his progression as an artist and composer through his catalog of albums.

If your needing cofffe this weekend you will find us at Gordon Spratt Reserve on Saturday morning from 7.30am - 12.30pm catering to all the football players and supporters for the Papamoa football club. And on Sunday we will be at the farmers markets located at the end of Ashley Place from 8 - 11am.

When being kind and giving love to those who are down is payed back with great appreciation and good fortune 😊

A few weeks ago I had a customer come by, who was staying in the area for the weekend, a little distraught and upset because they had lost their beloved cat, Dennis.
All I could do to help was give them a free coffee and help spread the word of this distinctive looking feline.

3 weeks later that customer came back today with the biggest smile on their face because someone had found Dennis and had looked after him well.
The thank you card was a token of their appreciation for showing sympathy towards their misfortune and being kind to help brighten up their day.

This has made my day now and I'm feeling extra grateful to be part of this community 😁

Flip's open today but will be closed tomorrow until next week as I will be away bartending a wedding in the Coromandel.

We're open for the weekend from 8am until 1pm with a new range of retail coffee to take home with you.

The Jairo Arcila is a funky extended fermentation from Colombia with tasting notes of navel orange, lychee, and charred apricot. This is an amazing coffee that has a high Q-grade that excites the taste buds with it bright acidity and pleasant sweetness.

The Antonio Gomez is another great coffee from Colombia that is a washed process and has tasting notes of Plum, malt, and milk chocolate. A classic well balanced coffee.
