B&W themed party at Classic Flyers for Seekas staff tonight… it’s 27 degrees outside at the mo! Just as well this space has massive doors! We provided 30 tables with lanterns and vases, 3 wall spaces, a decored entrance way and 2 stage plinths.

Creatives in business.
Creatives like me have a way of being able to think ahead and foreseeing a beautiful future from the thought to the sketch to planning to piecing the puzzle that people don’t see and then we get to enjoy the reaction and excitement and energy and sharing of each other within that space that we created. It’s so fulfilling and addictive again and again what I do for work I’ve had people say I’d love to do what you do.
The last pink high tea I did ppl shared and danced and things happened I didn’t expect that surprised me and it’s way better than sitting back n watching boring old tv…it’s our own personal movie scene in a way❤️🌟we get create these moments again and again, so we are to be proud, be proud of your creativity and breathe it in, you’re special to bring to people what you do.
To my creative buddies if anyone stands up and gives you nonadmirational messages like I’ve had it’s because they’re jealous or competitional, they want you to feel their emotions about it and don’t understand what’s it’s like being you! You are to ignore them stamping out your light and be the beauty you are naturally being without regard for what those people ‘feel’ about it, that’s about them!
I feel I could write a book about all the experiences I’ve seen and been part of since starting business, so many romances and tears, excitement and at times overwhelmingly heartwarming what we become immersed in.
It can be stressful where you sit tight waiting and wondering if you can pull it off if it’s a ticketed event (and I’m sure a lot of event creatives feel this way) but once it’s off it’s a banger and well worth the sweat, it then becomes the sweet🥂. Being creative can be like gambling an idea and in to fruition where it can pay off if not financially, emotionally, so business is joyfully hard work of flowing.
I absolutely love the freedom of doing what I love to do which is simply being me. If anyone has even the slightest inkling of what they’d like to do, ideas in your head and sketching them down or with lots of words but haven’t started, all you’ve got to do is start🌟and don’t leave it till you’re older, it’s when you feel that you want to do it is when your energy starts building.

Lots goin’ on this weekend, hens parties, baby showers, Carnival of Taste, Pacific Rose Bowl festival, DJs playing about town, birthdays on the beach just to name a few! We’re falling over ourselves 😁☀️Bloom in the Bay’s coming up, pop up weddings, we love what we do, thank you so much!

Hi to all and new followers to my event styling page 👋🏻.
A bit of info about Clo, I am the youngest daughter of late rose breeder legend Sam McGredy CBE, every year since I was in my late teens I’ve been involved with voting NZ’s best rose varieties along side my family and other rosarians at the NZ Rose trials in Hamilton. This is a special place where Dad used to receive many awards for the wonderful blooms he created, he even named one for me (which is on my business logo, yip the apricot rose), Dad was also the introducer of Rose Breeder’s rights in NZ.
This year I have the absolute honour of providing decor for the tables at a couple of special events at the Hamilton rose Gardens , one of them being the centre pieces for the NZ Rose of the year awards 2024!
This is very special for me, I’m honoured and hoping Dad will be looking over on us😉 I’m doing my little bit to shine in a space that was very special to him.
If any of my followers would like to have their vote on this year’s roses voting is open to the public on Saturday all day and on Sunday morning, view the garden beds and write the number card of your favourite roses on the form provided, there will some entertainment and learning to be had, then the prize giving takes place which is a private event, so if you love roses take a look at the NZ Rose of the Year event, bring your blanket and picnic on the grass, voting is free.
