We served 100 guests last night, Pizza and Salads family style. Eight Delicious pizza flavors, home made dough rolled and cooked in our wood fire ovens served with four types of salads, roast veges, pear salad, cesar salad and Greek salad with a selection of gluten and dairy free pizza options.

Super proud of the new trailer to cater the upcoming Summer season. All that's next is some nice sign writing, LED Lights and blue sky's. We have invested in our wood fire ovens in hope to cater for large corporate functions, festivals general public and look picture perfect for our weddings and private events. Winter is generally our off time when we get to brainstorm and invest in adding more quality to our service for each Summer season. We have had fun thinking about how to enclose our trailer to accommodate our smokey ovens. Framing is complete, next step is some sheet metal and branding. Almost time to fire the ovens back up and serve our gourmet food to great people with a beautiful country to accommodate, Gazebo free!

This is what it looks like preparing to serve 100 people all you can eat Pizza at the Black Barn in lake Tarawera. I love this time of year staying toasty warm by the fires. Don't hesitate to contact us for winter bookings.

Food by Wild Wood Fire has finally had a weekend off, time to catch up on some photos from this glorious summer we have had and yet to finish. We thank everyone for the amazing feed back about the food and service we have provided. Cooking with wood has it's challenges but oooo does it make for great tasting meat, veges pizza and of course seafood. Our Pizzas are hand rolled on-site with fresh dough, we have two ovens and will get both operating for larger crowds. The wood we generally use is a mix of Black Wattle, Manuka and Avocado for that extra flame.
