TREE PLANTING DAY : Extra hands would be really appreciated for a fun day out on Te Awanga Downs. Sunday 11th August, 11am to 2pm. Come out & enjoy fresh air & beautiful views, while planting trees & helping to establish a green corridor & food source for the native birds coming out of the Cape Kidnappers Sanctuary & surrounds. You will need boots or gumboots, a spade or a shovel & gardening gloves. Please comment or message for more information. BYO refreshments. Also if you are busy in weekends we are looking for a smaller group that could help for a couple of hours at a time during weekdays, weather permitting. 🦉🦎🐦‍⬛🐜🦚🦜🌴🌲🌱🎄🌳

Thanks Tumu for these photos! Fox isn’t an expert on engineering by any stretch but when it comes to Flying 🦊🦊there’s a few glues. The team came up with a temporary solution to get things across the Mangaone river, swollen, battered and bruised from the cyclone with more rain falling. The Evergreen Foundation charitable trust responded quickly to the urgent appeal for fuel and the flying Fox with a cattle feed cage underneath got it across with other essential supplies. We are nearly a month after and there’s a long recovery ahead. It’s important to keep posting and responding where we can, not to forget the families, farms, businesses and industries everyday facing overwhelming challenges. Rebuilding their lives. Please head to the tumu.co.nz/tumu-group-relief-fund and donate for the Hawke's Bay and Tairawhiti Horticultural and Agricultural sectors. Over the years we have been supported hugely by the hard grafting growers, farmers and other amazing businesses in Hawkes Bay 🍏🍇🍑🥝and it’s heartbreaking to see this brutal devastation. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been hit hard 😢To farming friends and small communities cut off and beginning to deal with the huge loss of their homes their loved ones, land and animals sending ❤️
