One of my seedlings in her 3rd year that is consistently performing. We are only just getting started with our dahlias this season, such a very late start for us here, would have to be the slowest start I have ever had since starting growing dahlias 11 years ago. Hopefully we get a long summer and get to enjoy blooms into April this year.

I planted a whole lot of anemone corms in November last year, they had been sitting in a tray in my potting she withering away, figured I had nothing to lose putting them in. I now have the first flower and more buds coming on, our season this year has certainly been a bit crazy, still only the smallest handful of dahlias coming on but at least these out of season blooms are giving me something pretty to look at.

Starball Scabiosa, these wee cuties start of with the most dainty little blue blooms and continue to put on a show well after the petals have dropped. The seed heads dry so well and hold their form. The perfect textural addition to an arrangement that calls for something a little bit different.

I also have this variety growing but mine are pretty much done for the season, so it is such a treat having these stunners dropped off by Sarah yesterday.
I am hoping that both our crops have grown some nice chunky corms over the spring so we have lots more of these for next spring.

I am opening our plant nursery just in time for Christmas so if you need flowers or have someone who loves growing plants in the garden we have lots of gift options or you can get something for yourself to enjoy.

I will open Saturday the 21st 10am till 1pm and again on Christmas Eve 10am till 1pm. We will also be delivering on Christmas Eve up until 3pm

You can pre-order flowers to pick up on the days we are open.
Located at 174B Camphill rd, we have the large black shed approx 400m down the driveway.

Want something a bit creative to do for Christmas, we have added floral arrangement kits to our website. Perfect for those who love to play with flowers and also for those who want a fun activity to do with their children/grandchildren.
They come with gorgeous seasonal, locally grown blooms and festive foliage as well a beautiful ceramic vase to arrange into and all finished with a luxe velvet bow. We are limited on stock so get in quick. We will have these available for pick up pre Christmas or you can have them delivered.

Our self seeded amazing grey poppies are looking so good at the moment, love how much variation there is the tones of grey they have, even some reddish and some more pale colour coming through.
These are definitely one to grow in the garden and let go to seed as they will look after themselves.

As mentioned in the clip, we don’t grow just dahlias so if you if would love to see more videos on tips about growing flick either of us a DM. We could talk all day about flowers and would love to share more with you.

We still have few of our top fave dahlias to grow available, these beautiful Jowey Linda blooms are one of them. One of the most reliable orange dahlias we grow. 🧡🧡

I had a lovely time today sitting and chatting to Sarah from @thejoyfarmer about all things dahlias.

A stunning Friday morning beside one of the dahlia’s patches. This one is a little slower but it is definitely going to be worth the wait as she is growing all our 3yr seedlings.

This pretty pink dahlia needs a name, we will be selling tubers of her later in the year. She is just one on the many new varieties we have bred that we will be releasing the year. Can’t wait to share more with you as they start opening up.
