After 9 years of being a Celebrant, Beth has really enjoyed brainstorming with her couples, how to involve family members in a Wedding ceremony.
It may be that a parent – and often two – walk the Bride down the aisle, or present a reading or blessing chosen by the couple, or bring forward the rings.
Or maybe they take part in a ritual that honours the background of the couple.
Being a Witness & signing the Marriage License is another popular choice.
Several of Beth’s couples have asked a family member to sing or play a musical instrument or be the Master of Ceremonies.
And it’s always delightful, to have family members in the Bride or Groom’s party - be it as a Bridesmaid / Best Man / Flower Girl or Page Boy.

Ah, the delight of working together. A couple asked Jane for an intimate ceremony up at the Sign of the Bellbird. Jane recommended Emily Rachel to capture the occasion, and then whilst Jane was trying to capture a selfie on the day, Emily took this fun picture and sent it through to Jane a few days later. When the wedding vendor community helps each other out to be successful, that makes the love and light a whole lot brighter.

Recently, R & L wanted a simple backyard wedding to surprise their grandparents who were visiting from out of town. Ana got the brief and tailored the ceremony to include the elements that would make their day special.
With only a couple of hours to spare while their grandparents were away having a coffee, the family turned the backyard into a wedding venue. Ana arrived and helped with tying up balloons, positioning the decorations, and even placing the wedding cake on the table. When the bride arrived just after the grandparents returned from their outing, they were so surprised! Following some tearful hugs and photos, everyone gathered in the back yard to witness R & L exchange their wedding vows.

She will demystify them, as often her couples are somewhat intimidated at the prospect of writing them.
She can share her resources and ideas with you, to inspire you to make them truly unique, heart-felt and personal.
Beth will encourage you to initially "have a go" yourselves, with the knowledge that you have her as a “back up” or feedback person (if asked), and she is more than happy to spend time with you one-on-one, to assist you to express yourself.
Beth invites couples to e mail her their Vows on different e mail addresses, so that they are a complete surprise for each other on your Wedding day, and she will print them off on beautiful paper and tie them with a ribbon that matches your colour scheme so they are all ready for you to use.

Four Years A Celebrant! Ironically as Alison sat down to write her piece for this month, her first wedding four years ago popped up in ‘’Facebook Memories’.
Since then she has done a small number of weddings, vow renewals and ‘commitment’ ceremonies. Though working full time as Assistant Principal on the West Coast, she does not advertise extensively, but is always excited when someone asks her about their wedding!
Alison has yet to do a ‘West Coast’ wedding. Maybe that will be this year!

Happy New Year! Jane hits the ground running this January, busy officiating couples' weddings all over our fair region - starting with 5 in one week! Jane is an 'attention to detail' kind of person, so if you're brain is fuzzled with wedding planning don't worry, she has lists and checklists and will make sure your ceremony is smooth-running and stress-free.
Jane is going to work Christmas and New Year this year, but take the whole of January 2025 off, so get in quick if you're planning a Christmas time wedding for 2024.
