Just 1 sleep to go team!

After a few months of planning and now executing we are Piha Prom eve & super excited. Even Marama is scheduled to put on a show.

Here’s how the Prom flows:

Get your fine self to the Piha Bowling club from 6. Be sure to get your complimentary drink (this runs until 8pm)

6-7.15 Brother Jay will be laying down lounge vibes during a walk & fork service of yummy treats.

7.15-8.45 Steve Dunstan to get the party started.

8.45-10.15 The Occasionals local super group banging out the classics.

The first Piha Prom King & Queen will be crowned.

10.15 Sweetpants and the shoulder rubs to finish the night at midnight.

It’s well & truely prom week. How’s that mad scramble going for the perfect outfit?

If our house is anything to go by… you’re tripping over a multitude of op shop vintage ball dresses, flats, heels & velvet bow ties.

There’s been a crew of like minded souls putting this prom together for the past 3 months and now there’s just 3 sleeps to go!

Tomorrow we will release the order of events. See you Saturday!

Drum roll please... and the winner of the $50 bar tab is Piha's own Nina Slater.

Judges couldn't go past the provenance of the OG gown plus the fact Nina will be rocking the Cinderella at the Piha Prom in just 2.5 weeks.

Headlining the inaugural Piha Prom is Sweetpants & the Shoulder Rubs - after all, who doesn’t love a shoulder rub, its about as feel-good as you can get with your shirt on.

Sweetpants is one of Aucklands top club & festival Dj’s, a BaseFM regular and party promoter supremo. Murry has teamed up with percussionist Matt Sawyer & Juan Balsani on sax giving an already killer DJ set an extra serving of special, with a live element that takes the sound to a whole new level.

Expect the fellas to bust out an array of stone cold classics, a little bit of quality new stuff, and a large helping of funky good times. If it’s a party you want, it’s a party you’ll 100% get.
