Christmas Organic Decor at Queenstown Health Reception (5 Mile). I was delighted to have the opportunity to add a touch of festive cheer to the Queenstown Health / Mountain Lakes Medical reception as a token of thanks for their unwavering support over the years. Mindful of the reception layout & positioning of a fire extinguisher the design was kept overhead blending functionality with aesthetics. This allows for a design which might have otherwise been too large to blend into the space without impacting the function. The inspiration, a balloon packet label inadvertently left behind by a client. This sparked the idea to create something special using high quality materials. The result is

Idea's needed. This could end up being a competition, best answer gets a balloon animal "maybe". I've run into an issue, long story short I made someone flying Business Class to Europe a balloon animal. Aviation Security are fine with it. Airlines however can be pretty silly. Sorry although its bagged, boxed & in a suitcase in checked luggage you cannot take it because it might "blow up" on the plane & is a safety concern (yeah well, some of it was lung filled & as I breathe out pure TNT..). On following up with couriers & postal services they were pretty unsure with answers like: Oh Balloon Animals those have one of the following: Lithium batteries, hydrogen, highly compressed air, are lead filled etc.. To which I enquired, you have seen a balloon animal right? You know what a balloon animal is? I blow up the balloon and make it into something. Oh yes, they're helium or hydrogen filled & have batteries (once again I breathe out pure TNT). What I need is a wording to put on the customs sticker on the box which categorically guarantees that no idiot assumes I fill balloons with the equivalent of nuclear arsenal. Best answer probably gets a balloon animal, might be acme inspired.

Hey Folks,
Just wanted to say a couple of things. Firstly how much I love you guys, I've had people returning looking for me who I met years ago (or were referred by you).. "Thank You!!". You never fail to make my heart smile (& even guys in Smiley suits need that so thank you!).
I know I've been hard to track down the last er.. while, I'm still about but there's been and are a few challenges.
Post Covid-ish.. I guess we're all feeling it, my schedule is pretty much almost unplanable around work, just how it is for them too.
High quality balloon manufacturing & freight is pretty much.. yeah well, lets just say there's some issues.
So in the longer short term what does this mean for us??
Me: I'm kinda freaking out.. cant get the stock I want & don't know when I can make stuff or entertain & have fun with you & I've been hanging out for that for a while.
You: Being able to catch me & have I got what I need to help you (maybe?? feel free to flick me a text msg & ask).
So.. long story short, I have some inflatable materials still & are desperately trying to fund and get what I can of a suitable quality (too scared I can't replace stock to practice and train). What I have remaining is aging (yes balloons are biodegradable.. they store but for only so long & different colours have different shelf lives).
Well.. Thank you for listening I sincerely hope the situation improves & am open to thoughts.
Almost forgot, yeah I know the website & email isn't working right, it was hacked (later job).
You guys are awesome & I will never be able to convey just how much I appreciate you, thank you and love always Jim.

A photo frame to go with the trees. Ideally I'd have gone nuts on building big trees with tapered trunks but time & balloons were an issue

Haven't been twisting much recently.. 4 small palm trees for a click & collect. Likely I'll try to do more of this sort of thing.
