Emotions got the better of me today.

I don't know why I'm so upset about this but the deliberate destruction of my signs has reduced me to tears today. Maybe it's because I spent late nights getting these done ( amongst a myriad of other mum and business responsibilities)and in a matter of seconds careless hands broke them down.

I do have Council permission for my stand and signs.
Today on the side of SH2 I stopped the mower men to ask about my signs. The first mower man was so helpful saying he was very happy to easily mow next to them, and was genuinely kind about me starting up this business and complimented me on my flower stand. He's been mowing the enourmous median islands in my town for many years. I then spoke to the second mower man who was very unkind and he admitted that it was him that picked up my signs and threw them to the side and in the ditch. He was rude and drove off. He broke 3 signs. Possibly it's the experience of such rudeness and unkind behavior from a stranger that cuts deep. I then drove up and down the road slowly collecting pieces of my signs. Feeling super deflated and a bit sorry for myself.

When we put up the signs Josh and I specifically installed them out of the way of speed sings, and from where people park on the island. We also thought about the mower men and put the signs close to lampposts where there isn't much grass.

It's not often I discuss the stress and hard work behind going into business for myself. When you start in business there are just so many hurdles to overcome and it's important to keep a cool head and count your blessings. Truth be told I don't have the funds to replace these signs at this time. And I will make a formal complaint to Council today.

But as I've cried many tears trying to juggle it all, I've discovered inspiration in determining my time and efforts on my own terms and that this is highly motivating.
