This event celebrates the hard work of the Waikato River Trails Trust over the past 13 years in developing 100km of top quality trails - most of it on previously inaccessible land along the mighty Waikato River. The trails wind their way through all the faces of New Zealand’s natural beauty - native bush, exotic forest, historic landmarks, geological formations, open reserves, boardwalks over wetl
ands, and stunning single track - taking in expansive lake and river views throughout. Come and join us on Saturday 12th November to take on as much of the stunning Waikato River Trails as you want - on foot, on two wheels, as an individual, or as a team! Event Options;

Winter might be in full swing, but the Second Sun is set to rise again! ⚡☀️
Glowing as part of the Mercury Light Hub, the Second Sun will be heading to the Taupo Winter Lights festival these school holidays 💛
Join us from 5-20 July to soak up the glow from the 8,000 LED lights and all the wonderful energy that only the sun can bring! 🤩

This planting is along a brand new 5km section of trail heading south from Atiamuri to Ohakuri Rd.

Supporting Local and Giving Back
Hodderville Farms Plant Nursery is excited to be sponsoring The Taniwha event this Saturday, taking place along our local river trail. Placegetters in each category will receive a native plant from our Nursery to either take home or on-gift to Waikato River Trails for planting.
With options to walk, run or mountain bike and distances to suit all ages, this event will be a great day out so grab the family and head along.

Hey guys and girls...let's talk about the weather ⛅️🌦🌧
Specifically, what gear you should consider having with you on Saturday with the weather not looking amazing.
It's highly recommended you consider carrying the following items with you on Saturday.
1. A suitable rain jacket (seam sealed is best).
2. Long sleeve thermal top
3. Emergency blanket
While you likely won't need them while you're moving, these things will help keep you warm should you need to stop for any reason on the day.
We are going ahead rain, hail or shine on Saturday, nothing is going to dampen our spirits!!
