We have had the first two of our weddings for the season. The first one we were particularly lucky with the weather even though not extra hot. Our second wedding was on Labour Day with the couple coming from Waiheke with their lovely dog Sasha. Both were really special and such fabulous weddings. It's always such a pleasure and a privilege to be part of their special day.

Our latest edition to our lamb nursery. A twin that had trouble being born and Kevin had to help out, we thought the lamb was not going to survive, so we brought the little boy inside and put him in a box in front of the fire to warm him up and to get some colostrum into him. After a couple of feeds and able to get out of the box, we put him in a lamb jacket and he has joined the other 4 lambs. The ewe went on to have another lamb and she is looking after this one. Feeding will be so much fun with Kevin away next week. Just one more ewe to go.

We have unexpectedly got 2 sets of orphan lambs, all boys. One set of twins born last Sunday and the other set born this morning and our kitchen enclosure has become our lamb nursery for the next few weeks. We have had 5 sets of twins and 2 singles with a couple of ewes still to go.

We had our last wedding for the season mid March. We had a houseful of 3 generations staying for 2 nights, which made for a busy time but wonderful experience. We were lucky with the weather although it was a touch on the cool side. We wish the lovely couple all the best in the future.

It's with great sadness that we've had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Max (Doggie). He passed peacefully at home with much love. He will be missed greatly. Wedding dog extraordinaire, probably in more wedding photos than any other dog. What will we do without the one collie welcoming committee. He was a much loved member of the family and he had the best life full of people, pats and love.

An extremely windy day for the other sister's wedding but none the less it was a lovely ceremony held under the pergola and marquee, out the wind. It was our 1st Non Binary wedding and it was lovely to see so many of the rainbow community as guests. Max the wedding dog even had his rainbow bow tie on. We wish both Daisy & Cassandra all the best.

We've had the absolute pleasure of having 2 sisters married here 2 weeks apart. Abi and Kieran had a very hot day, nearly 30 degrees, thankfully there was a nice cool breeze. A wonderful service and ceremony and some lovely Indonesian food. We wish them both the very best in the future

We had our last wedding for the year just before Christmas. The weather came right in time for the wedding. Such a lovely couple and family. We were delighted to be able to share their day. We wish them all the very best for their future

Because we have had so much rain this year the water table is very high and we lost access to half the photography sites in the native bush. So we've built a bridge, not the harbour bridge granted, but a bridge just the same

We were delighted to have another wedding here at Connemara with family from overseas. The weather was not what we all hoped for but a wonderful day nonetheless. A lovely couple, we wish them all the best

We had our 1st wedding of the season a couple of weeks ago. Such a lovely young couple. We did appreciate them choosing to get married here. We felt privileged to be part of their day. We wish them all the best for their future!

We had our last wedding for the current season on Friday 5th May. A wonderful couple from Queensland who only got to see where they were getting married on Monday 1st May. It all started back in February last year with their inquiry and then a Facetime call to talk to us and see our venue over the phone, just after a storm and there was debris from the trees everywhere, so it was not looking it's best. It was such a pleasure to meet Jess and Braydon and their families and have several of them staying. A really wonderful day despite the weather not being ideal. We put out the benches and the gazebo minutes before the ceremony so they could be married outside.
