Celebrating 70 Years of Real NZ 🥂 Meeting the community @real.newzealand have built around their business and learning about their history has been an exceptional experience for us! We're thrilled to have been able to work alongside them to bring this event to life. Seeing the photos from @smoke.co.nz and an incredible review from our client was the icing on the cake! Pinching ourselves we get to do this every day ✨️ "What a venue! What a team! Searching for a venue in Wellington for a corporate event, I came across Whiskey & Wood. A quick phone call to Sarah to check the date we needed was available - and I very quickly noted that she was the kind of person and contact we needed to make this event a success. The date was booked, May 2024. 90 key clients attending a milestone celebration. Every question was answered timely and positively giving me options and solutions. Every request (and I had a few ..), all resolved and/or added to our booking with zero stress or issues. Things like photographer recommendations, florist, music, lectern, sound system, signature cocktails ... the list goes on! The evening was a huge success, with both staff and key clients who attended raving about the evening, venue, food and all the smaller things that cumulated to make the entire evening fun, professional - a night to remember. Having Sarah on hand during the evening was super helpful for any issues or questions that came up - she's super approachable and quick to come up with solutions or a resolve. Can't recommend the team and the venue at Whiskey & Wood enough. There is so much more behind the unassuming street door frontage - go take a look or give them a call!"

P.O.V. you do your wedding your way ft. Drag Queen Bingo and Macca's ❤️‍🔥💅🍟🍸 It was the most magical experience to see C&P bring their reception vision to life! These two were all about guest experience, and what they created (planning everything from overseas no less) was something their guests will never forget. Starting their diner themed night with signature cocktails, the stunning @anitawiglit made an entrance leading guests to their seats. A couple rounds of drag queen bingo lead into dinner by @thefoodlabnz. Guest speeches and performances by Anita Wigl'it peppered the evening with fun, emotion, stories and laughter. Guests were treated to a desert station and maccas to keep any hangovers at bay and wrap up a perfect evening! A wedding so fun we want to do it every year! The table styling secret that saved our life 🤭 That's a bit dramatic, but it is a fave! Super easy to master and takes your event styling to the next level! Ever set a table and wondered what to do with this long dags that hang from the ends of your table? We've got the solution for you 🤗 1. Position your end tablecloth at the desired length 2. Take each corner and tie them together 3. Gently pull the middle of the table cloth out toward you so the knot is at the back It's as easy as that! Did you know about this awesome hack? What an incredible night hosting our first ever gig! I saw Hot Potato Band at a friend's wedding in Sydney and was hooked! Immediately checking tour dates I noticed they had no shows on their NZ Tour in Wellington and set out to change that. The band wanted an intimate gig for their Welly fans and whoo-ee did they deliver! What a treat to spend time with these talented humans and host them in our space- thanks Welly folk for coming out and shaking what your momma gave ya! @hotpotatoband thank you so much for your energy and talent, come back any time!

Taiao: Food of the Gods at Wellington on a Plate is a deeply cultural, locally-inspired fine-dining feast from two of Aotearoa’s culinary superstars; Kārena & Kasey Bird. Devour a progressive, six-course kai experience that will take you on a multi-sensory journey of flavours, aromas, sound and more. Through edible storytelling, you'll experience six unique ‘worlds’. When we created this space we wanted to support events that breathe life back into this gorgeous city of ours and we couldn't be prouder to have such diverse and incredible events coming up these next two months- jump in and support them!
