I had a fantastic day on Saturday officiating for Mish and Lee at The Lodge Pauhatanui. Mish and Lee sent me this message "Thank you so much for conducting a beautiful ceremony for us. We were so proud you officiated this for us and everyone loved each element of it." Thank you for the feedback it was my pleasure!! Mish and Lee have donated to Big Buddy and the I am Hope foundation.

Good Karma right there!!

Great photo of Janet and Johnny who I married in January. They not only donated their fee but collected donations from their guests in lieu of wedding gifts, with all proceeds going to Big Buddy, who were delighted to receive it. Thanks guys!!

“The Good Karma Wedding Guy”

I’m the good karma wedding guy. What on earth does that mean? I will explain in a minute.

Before I do – let me tell you a bit about myself. I live in Wellington and became a celebrant to officiate at my nephew’s wedding. That experience was moving, deeply personal, and I absolutely loved it. So much so, that I realised I wanted to do more!

I am a people person, and I love hearing a couple’s story and being involved in the most intimate and special day a couple can share.
I have years of experience “telling stories” in my job as a Sales Director and I take that approach when I sit down with a couple to plan the ceremony. But what I really do well is “listen”.
I listen to your story and customise a service that is all about you – and then I get to tell your story.
I have loads of ideas and suggestions that I bring to the table and am happy to discuss those with you. Ultimately though – it's about you and what you want on the day.

Where does the Karma come into it?

Well – I’m not doing this to make money – I do it because I love it and it’s a way for me to give back to the community at the same time. Here’s how it works:

When you agree to engage my services, I will work with you to customise the service, ensuring its exactly what you want and that all of the legal obligations are met.

I ask you to then donate my fee to a charity that I support – and that donation is an amount that you feel is appropriate and reflects the value I bring to the day. What a great way to start your married life! Karma all round!

I support two great charities. One is Mike King’s I am Hope, and the other is Big Buddy, which provides support and mentoring to boys that don’t have a Dad in their life. I am a Big Buddy myself and it is a rewarding and positive role that really makes a difference in our community.

The only thing I may ask in addition is my travel cost reimbursed if I need to travel more than 50km.
Easy right?
