Hey all

As most of you would have seen, I had to put the link out earlier to stop any confusion with the scam one, but here is the post that I intended.

As many of you know, Megan was a big fan of helping out good causes, and during her final 3 weeks, we received the most amazing support from the Mary Potter Hospice. If you feel like you would like to support a worthy cause, please donate directly to the hospice in Megan's name. The details can be found here:

Hi everyone

I'm writing to update you on the plans for Megan's funeral service. It will be held on January 4th at 1:00 pm.

The venue is at capacity, so we may not be able to accommodate everyone so please message Megan's account to confirm if there is room before attending.

We understand that not everyone may be able to attend in person. For those who are unable to join us, a live stream of the service will be available, a link to the stream added on Megan's page on the 3rd of January.

On 31 October 2019 we got engaged at beautiful Melville Castle in glorious Edinburgh ###. Yesterday was our first time back since then ###. Wonderful swim and spa at the leisure centre at the Royal Station Hotel Newcastle followed by a fabulous lunch at their restaurant Empire x. The icing on the cake - the Royal hosts weddings and a bride was running through final wedding details while we chilled xx. My wedding radar is permanently on 😆 ❤️. I love Newcastle, i love Love, I love celebrations ###. Love is fundamental - much love to you all ###.

Resting my knee in Brussels before we return to our treasured second home in Newcastle tomorrow and I Simply Could Not resist putting up some photos from glorious spots in London which we visited and which you can get married at!!!! Unbelievably you can get married on the London Eye, in multiple spaces in the British Museum, in multiple spaces at the Tower of London and you can have a reception at the Sky Garden with panoramic views of the London skyline ###. 150 percent Absolutely EPIC ###. Makes me excited!!!! I love weddings!!! I love being a celebrant!!! Love is life ###.

I knew yesterday's walking tour was going to be Absolutely Awesome when it included an exquisite building (amongst others!!) - the Town Hall on the Grand-Place (built between 1401 and 1455) - where weddings in Brussels take place ### (the only legally binding weddings in Belgium are civil ceremonies x). Gorgeous architecture, gorgeous day, gorgeous space ###. Fun facts about getting married in Brussels - you have to get married at the Town Hall, one of the spouses has to be a resident of the territory of the city of Brussels (or Belgian by descent or living in Belgium for at least three months), the city obtains initial information from you by phone or email which is then followed by showing your original documents, there are two different options to marriage declarations - 'simple' which is a 15 minute ceremony, date of your choice but time allocated between 8.30 and 12, officiated by a civil registrar or council officer, and 'cour d'honneur' which is a 20 minute ceremony (extra time for a speech), date and time can be chosen (between midday and 1.40 p.m.), welcoming in the inner courtyard of the City Hall (the cour d'honneur) also officiated by a government official. Two words - absolutely fascinating ###. Epic to learn about the celebration of love and marriages in this wonderful country - an honour to be here ###.

Three weeks ago and half a world away I married awesome L & D at Whitireia Park ###. Undeterred by crazy wind it was a great ceremony including their three beautiful children in their treasured Titahi Bay ###. Marrying a couple in the Bay = definite celebrant goals ###. Option two was much more manageable - love in Titahi Bay absolutely rocks ###.

Flashback to yesterday's Epic celebrant training day - such an awesome group of wahine and a truly wonderful, enriching, inspiring day ###. Facilitated by amazing Patricia Robbie - Celebrant this was an epic way to spend a Sunday ###. Highlights included the incredible company of Trish, Ashleigh Carlyle - Marriage Celebrant & MC, Tia Minnoch Celebrant, Alexa Shaw - Kapiti Celebrant, Celebrant Kesh - Weddings & Civil Unions and last but definitely not least Kapiti Coast Celebrant, the fab kai from Seriously Pickled, creative writing and the wonderful company of Tara from Anthology Writing Studio and an orchid creativity session with Sam from The Power Plant, not to mention sunshine, tea, laughter, learning and love all around ###. Incredibly grateful to be a Welly celebrant and to have connected or reconnected with these wonderful wahine ###. Feeling utterly grateful ###. Happy Monday all ###.
