As the Easter weekend comes to an end, Pukeko caterers would like to send our condolences to the Biddle (Maui Ngoungou) whanau, the Ngoungou Bush whanau and the Te Are whanau who lost loved ones throughout the month of March…. Kia kaha, ka ora te wā, kia nui te aroha ki nga whanau katoa…
A challenging yet rewarding success for Pukeko Caterers over this last month, serving delicacies of T**i & Tuna, Kina & Kutae to the more modern Panacotta & Eggs Bene to name a few.
It was a triumph month serving over 2500 people in a span of 3 weeks, our record to date!
Pukeko Caterers catered the – Waitangi Tribunal hearing Wai 2660 – MACA - with a week full of old & new innovative dishes! And to think a week later we had to package 300 plus morning teas and over 1000 hangi alongside buffet & plated service for the dignitaries, nga kuia me nga kaumatua o Ngati Awa for the Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi Graduation 2020 & 2021! A back-to-back, week to week catering experience of this caliber that we will never forget!
Thank you Matuakore & Missy!! -
Congratulations to all Graduands of 2020 and 2021!
Also acknowledging, Mata-atua Wharenui - Te Manuka Tutahi Marae – the complex that held both these events – Tau ke!
Of course, all this would not have been possible without our staff – Sweet Caroline, Tutulala, Liza, Rev it Up, Sade, Ammy, Roe, Tame, Miria and of course Chef Martel…. and to our Falwasser/Kopae whanau, Smith whanau, Rangimarie whanau and our Alternative Ed REAP crew, and defs can’t forget our ‘mahi kai’ crew who all came together to do the hard mahi for the back to back hangi for the Awanuiarangi Grad! – we appreciate and thank you all!
Me whakawhiwhi hoki ki Pukeko Marae mo te whakanao papatipu kai mō te katoa. Kiaora…
Oops …. nearly forget to mention that in amongst the mayhem of March we managed to slip in a few more caterings and a wee 70th birthday celebration for Mere ' The boss lady', – just coz that’s how we doo’s it!
Catered once again for the BOPDHB Maori Health Runanga Hui, a small whanau AGM hui, and ending the month catering for the new Gateway Funeral home opening in Kawerau.
Nga mihi ki a koutou katoa.
An overwhelming, exhausting and challenging successful month for Pukeko Caterers! We hope the staff have all had a well-deserved break and rest with whanau and friends because April is here and here we go again…… …
E whakamaioha ana mātou ki a koutou katoa…..
