Congratulations to Evan Smeath! An honour to receive 👏🏻🏅

This year, Whangarei A&P Show celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand (RAS)! 🏆✨

To mark this incredible milestone, a commemorative medal was awarded to someone who truly embodies the spirit of volunteering and community service. We are incredibly proud to announce that the RAS Centennial Medal was presented to Evan Smeath for his outstanding dedication to Whangarei A&P Society and his tireless contributions to numerous community organisations.

A special thank you to our Mayor, Vince Cocurullo, for being on hand to present the medal, and to Evan's wife, Sherleen, whose enthusiastic support of Evan and of the Society is invaluable.

Evan has been a key member of the Society since 2001, serving as an executive member and being named Honorary Life Member in 2017. Today, he continues to lead with passion as the Society’s President. Whether he’s in the board room, helping and judging at calf club days, assisting with show setups, or making sure his cows are ready for the Fresha Valley Suzie Moo Show, Evan’s commitment knows no bounds. 🐄💪

We thank Evan for his years of hard work and service, and we are proud to recognise him with this special award. Congratulations, Evan! 🏅🎉
