FairMail is a social enterprise that sells fair trade greeting cards made with pictures taken by underprivileged teenage photographers from Peru. FairMail provides free photography classes to the photographers and sells their images through different channels. The photographers receive 60% of the profit from the sales of their pictures and they invest it in 3 funds: education, clothing, and house

supply. FairMail also provides a health care plan to the photographers and their direct family members as well as counseling and personal guidance to support their personal and professional growth. Our mission is to:

o Fight against child labor in Peru by empowering underprivileged teenagers through photography. o Provide for the education of the FairMail photographers and support them in their personal and professional growth to instill within them a sense of self-confidence and self-awareness so that they can grow into the adult they want and chose to be. o Raise awareness of the role of social enterprises and of the impact that they have in the communities where they operate. o Promote fair trade and be a compliant member of the WFTO by living up to its ten principles.

📸 🧑‍⚕️Last Saturday, FairMail and HOP teamed up to host a free health campaign event at FairMail's office in El Tablazo, Huanchaco for the local community.

A big shoutout to the dedicated staff and volunteers from HOP who provided essential health services including:

✅ Blood pressure measurement
✅ Blood tests (hemoglobin, glucose, and cholesterol)
✅ Weight and size check
✅ Teeth check
✅ General medical consulting

We were thrilled to see over 50 community members benefit from these services.

For FairMail, this event was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our ties with the local community, showcase our work, and highlight our projects.

Last Saturday, we said goodbye to our amazing Jefferson.

Jefferson has been with FairMail for 5 incredible years, joining us at just 14 and now leaving at 19. We've watched him grow into such a talented and dedicated young man—his creativity, leadership, and dedication have been truly inspiring.

To celebrate Jefferson, we threw a fun pizza party! 🍕 We made pizzas in our pizza oven, and the photographer had a blast making the dough. The day was filled with lots of laughter, great food, and wonderful memories.

Jefferson, we're going to miss you so much! Your energy and passion have left a lasting impact on all of us. We wish you nothing but the best for your future life and studies. Keep shining! 🌟

📸✂️📐Have you ever heard about "bokeh"?

Last Saturday co-managers and held a workshop on how to build lens filters to obtain different shapes of blurred lights also known as bokeh.

With black cardboard, tape and scissors the photographers had fun creating their filters and experimenting with them!

We can't wait to see the pictures they took!

Hey FairMail community! We're thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all. After two months of intense training led by our very own FairMail photographers Marley and Jhossue, we're beyond thrilled to welcome six new photographers into our family!

Remember that open day we hosted a while back? Well, we were blown away by the response. We had 12 eager kids and their families show up, all curious to learn more about what we do here at FairMail.

For the past 2 months, the trainees have been diving headfirst into the world of photography with Marley and Jhossue as their guides, and they've also been soaking in the FairMail spirit and understanding the core values that keep us all together.

Six of them have successfully passed the entry exam and showed us they've got what it takes to officially join the FairMail crew. So, without further ado, let's give a warm welcome to Kiara, Juan, Xiomara, Erika, Jordan, and Angel!

Big shoutout to Marley, Jhossue, and our good friend Thom for being rockstars throughout the training process. And let's not forget FairMail photographet Manuel, who's been all about building those connections and making sure everyone feels at home here at FairMail.

With these six new additions, we're excited to keep spreading our message and empowering more young talents through photography. Their fresh perspectives and creativity are going to take our greeting cards to a whole new level!

📸 Training in progress!

Hey there! We're now in week 3 of training for eight young girls and boys ready to join the FairMail family, and the energy and eagerness to learn are just incredible!

Marley and former photographer Jhossue have been trained by our long-term friend, tutor and mentor Thom to lead the training of the new potential photographers, with Manuel fostering a strong bond between current and prospective photographers.

The 6 week training is not just about the technical aspects of photography, the trainees are not only learning how to take great pictures; they're also familiarizing with FairMail's spirit and values.

We can't wait for the coming weeks, the new generation of FairMail photographers is here now!!

Last Saturday, we hosted an open day, inviting local families to explore the opportunities for their kids to join our program.

The response exceeded our expectations, with 12 enthusiastic kids and their families attending to learn more about FairMail and consider embarking on a six-week training period.

Marley delivered an engaging presentation about our mission, values, and the transformative impact it has on the lives of young photographers. Attendees actively participated, asking numerous questions and expressing genuine interest in the program.

We look forward to start the training and we are very excited about the prospect of expanding our family!

Last Saturday marked a bittersweet moment for our family as we said goodbye to FairMail’s former photographer and manager Anidela who has been an integral part of our organization for the past 12 years. Anidela has embarked on a new chapter in her career, accepting a full-time position in the HR team of a chicken farm.
This transition has left us with mixed emotions – a blend of happiness for her new professional adventure and sadness as we say goodbye to a remarkable leader.

We can't help but marvel at the incredible professional growth Anidela has undergone within FairMail.
We first met Anidela in 2011 when, at the age of 13, she joined FairMail with dreams of supporting her family and pursuing an education. By 2014, Anidela had graduated high school with excellent marks, embarked on her journey to university, and travelled to Europe, as part of a FairMail promotion tour. Last year, she proudly graduated in Business Administration and become the first in her family to graduate.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Anidela's journey with FairMail is her incredible personal growth. She entered the organization as a shy and insecure young girl, and over the years, she transformed into a confident and independent woman.
For the past 5 years she worked as a manager, she was in charge of the daily operations of FairMail and she took good care of the photographers who don’t only see her as a manager but first and foremost as a friend and a person they can trust.
Anidela leaves behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and inspiration for everyone who had the privilege of working with her.

May your journey be filled with success, happiness, and the same determination that has guided you throughout your remarkable journey with us, dear Anidela.

We’ll miss you, but we are so happy for you!
