Our team has been working on a passion project for a while now with the lovely Rii'kah. The song Rabao, originally sung and performed by the Late Simon Tazzi is a song written about Yule Island in the Kairuku District of Central Province.

The cover was produced by the talented Emmanuel Muganawa (Toxic Mahn) and the video filmed and produced by Billie-Jean Kubul.

We acknowledge the original singer and song writer, all the participants, families and friends who made this passion project come to life.

A reminiscent and reflective piece. Enjoy 🙏

The Business & Professional Women Club POM - Independence Ball

Bpw Port Moresby Celebrated it’s Independence Ball 2023 in style! A celebration of Papua New Guinean Women, of our achievements, a reflection of our journey so far and a celebration of our identity as Papua New Guineans!

The theme for the ball was “POSH PNG - Celebrating each other’s achievements”. The event was well attended and highlighted some of The Nation’s eminent women, including Dame Jean Kekedo, young Trail Blazers like Maryanne Tom and Dr Elizabeth Alok.

Introduced on the night were snippets of a new series of reflections by Papua New Guinean Women - titled Eminent Papua New Guinean Women. We’ll share a few of those from the ball night here with you.

We congratulate the amazing women behind the scenes who came together to bring this event to life and who continue to empower young women every year through their scholarship programs, enabling hundreds of young women to pursue their tertiary studies. In a small, but significant closed event last week Friday, SP Brewery Managing Director, Mr Ed Weggemans, launched the brewery’s Waste Water Treatment Plant here in Port Moresby.

In attendance, as a representative of the the Minsitry of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change was First Secretary, Mr Motsy David to witness the auspicious occasion, launching the first waste water treatment facility for breweries in Papua New Guinea.

In a press statement released on the 1st of September, 2023, the Brewery stated that "The new wastewater treatment plant stands as a testament to SP Brewery’s dedication to minimizing its ecological footprint. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the plant efficiently processes and purifies the brewery’s wastewater, ensuring that only clean water is returned to the environment. This process aligns with the brewery’s overarching mission to balance its production processes with the preservation of natural resources."

Congratulations SP Brewery Ltd on this milestone achievement.

We are truly delighted to have been witness to this monumental launching for an iconic brand in Papua New Guinea.

Fun Fact!

What is now Next of Kin Productions Limited, was once Cousins DJ. NOK, now nearing 20 years of operation since our establishment in 2004, started off as merely a group of cousins who had a love for good music and good times and decided to share their passion with others, and so made a business out of it.

Like many humble beginnings, we had a similar Multi-disk stereo like this one, after cassette tapes were slowly being phased out and CDs were introduced. Then came mini-disks, and so on so forth. Fast forward and Bluetooth was introduced, MP3 players came about and the rest is history.

Sunday, 13th of August 2023 marked an exciting day for soccer in Papua New Guinea as we welcomed FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Arriving from Sydney, he inspected our proud FIFA-funded PNG Football Stadium and discussed projects in Lae, Kimbe, and Western Highlands. Highlight of the day? Our own PNG Legends playing with the FIFA Team! The PNG Football Association hosted a fitting welcome dinner for the FIFA President at the Hilton, Port Moresby.
