Created a small setup for a couple of friends who were celebrating their birthday, we had no budget for this, but we still wanted to come up with something for two guy friends who have made life interesting ever since we got to know them.
We wanted the setup to be masculine and hard but with a hint of warmth, we dreamed up a theme depicting the first rains of a desert, and we used stuff we already had in storage.
Swarovski crystals strung up with wires created the rain, that were coming from chicken wire “clouds”.
Dried silver bismarckia fan palm leaves set the place in a desert oasis and black fabric drapings covered the space in a darkness of sorts not unlike a storm. We also added chandeliers just because we had them 😆
We even added LED strips so we could turn of all the lights and just have mood lighting
The table was decorated very simply, with Sansevieria masoniana in short cylinder vases, accompanied by welded wire diamonds painted black, disco balls and various tilandsia air plants.

I miss creating big events, we’ve been focusing on our other business and have not been advertising as heavily for floraison. Although these small events have been scratching the creative itch, there’s nothing that could compare to having a full blown styling at venues and hotels. Even though we’re not advertising, feel free to inquire about our services 😉

What happens when a crazy rich asian plantlady decides to throw a pre chinese new year dinner party?
Despite being created for only six people, this setup is crazy rich asian indeed, live bromeliads imported from thailand, luxurious cattleya orchids that are so expensive they’re most often reserved for creating corsages, here they’re arranged frivolously by the dozen, heliconias and fire orchids complete this table that’s set with goodies (copper charger, gold tableware. It also has gold candelabras from

It was a whole new day, a different experience, we had rentals, a beautiful stage, elegant chairs, amazing lighting, and an awesome couple client.
The venue was intimate, and the scale of our styling made the place cozier, we fully utilized the full 11 ft of ‘s Narra halls abc&d our tree took almost to the ceilings and our candelabras were at mid height, ensuring that anywhere you look, there were details to look at, we situated LED walls at both ends of the hall and planned ways to ensure that they were visible everywhere. It was a full collaborative setup with our amazing coordinators at and the events directors of shang

We styled a dinner table, THE MOST EXPENSIVE dinner table in the history of the country ever, our client wanted an all black feast but instead of food she wanted jewelry to be the main attraction of her table, almost a billion pesos worth of Fine jewelry were showcased and exhibited like delectable treats waiting for you to pick them up. Glorious, spectacular, and oh so mouth watering. Watch out for the official posts in a magazine soon!

Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine: There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, Lulled in these flowers with dances and delight.
-shakespeare’s a midsummer nights dream

Can you imagine? An events venue entrance tunnel completely covered in these seemingly real but otherwise oversized blooms, or perhaps a ballroom ceiling filled to the brim? Making you feel like alice in the enchanted garden. Or perhaps you just want to know how fairies feel? Dancing with abandon beneath meadow blooms under a moonlit firefly studded night,

These flowers are coming up for sale or rent soon, feel free to inquire

With regards to our table, we opted not to have tablecloths, so there will be no laundry washing after, a gentle nod to avoid pollution, as well as to display the beautiful wood tables of casa buenas, our only tradeoff were the napkins, as they were necessities and part of casa buenas’ standard operating procedure. At least we lessened our impact on wastewater management.

The entire setup played with multiple shades of green, from the olivine colors of the semi dried Bismarckia palm leaves to the emerald greens of the vegetables and the livistonia palms, as well as the silvery green of the tilandsia airplants. It was a multishade monotone of verde

Everything was organic, green in every sense of the word, and it supported grassroot communities. we hit not just one but multiple layers of sustainability that’s not always done in events. The result is an unexpected play on color, textures, contrasts, and scent that combined to create what we hope is an event that will be remembered by guests for years to come...

The clincher or as we want to say, the queen of the event, were the sampaguita flowers, sourced from a san pedro laguna grower, the idea of having them on sticks are borrowed from a catholic tradition of decoration. These sampaguitas on walis tingting sticks are a mainstay of catholic iconography decorations during feast days and holy ceremonies. The flowers although miniscule, in their abundance perfumed the table, adding a layer of interest unrivaled by anything else.

All of these materials were combined with bromeliads, tilandsias, from a local producer( our garden ehem 😆), and two types of anahaw foliage from a forest gatherer, some of the big anahaw leaves though were recycled from a previous event of ours.
The bromeliad pots were wrapped in anahaw leaves as a way to disguise their unsightly black seedling pots. Simple? Yes, and it was done on the fly, as we were working, a millisecond snap decision, as a solution to ugly pots.

We bought most of our fruits and vegetables from small roadside vendors from pillila, Rizal all the way to lucban, Quezon province, stopping and buying from individual small stocks gathered from mountains and small gardens, upo, sitaw, guyabano, dalandan and bananas in bunches and in full buwig (which is what you call a full stem of banana bunches)
The smiles and the laughter of the little old ladies and warm affable women, illicited by my orders of “balutin na lahat yan” not only made our day, but brightened theirs as well, the brief contact that we made will be etched in our minds forever, an eternal memory, one that i will be sure to come back to over and over again.

The idea made sense to us, given the economical weather of the country, flowers would be bourgeois.

So we took all that and levelled it up, we made sure that all the supplies and materials we will be using will be sourced locally. And not just locally, we vowed that we will buy from people who sold fruits and vegetables not as a business, but as a means of survival.
