How do we love our friends?

Thesa, James, Damielle, Jeremiah, and Chen showed us the answer while we were taking their photos. Loving our friends means giving without expecting anything in return. It is a kind of selfless love where no one is proud and no one is jealous.

We find comfort in good friends; being able to say what you feel like, going to each other’s house at any time of the day or night, and being there for them, especially when they have troubles.

One of Love's many forms is how we care for our barkada/tropa. As you stumble upon this post, we hope that you are surrounded with caring friends.

Natatangi: Sarili bago sila.

Ryan never had a relationship before. He chose not to pursue one with someone else. When we asked him why, he said;

“I wanted to love myself first before loving somebody else. Because I don’t have that confidence to fully love someone. I'm still finding that missing piece in me. Every single day, I build my confidence by loving myself first more than anybody else. Period CHAROT!”

Self-love is a kind of love where we all struggle with. It is about unconditionally accepting ourselves, loving ourselves despite any perceived imperfections.

Kaulayaw: Ang pag-ibig ay walang hanggan.

Ang mga halimbawa ng pag-ibig ay ang ugnayang nabubuo sa mag-asawa, magulang sa kanilang anak, sa magkakaibigan at ang pagmamalasakit ng tao sa kapwa tao. Ang pag-ibig ay kayang magtiis. Ang pag-ibig ay nagpapatawad.

Maligayang araw ng mga puso! Nawa’y lahat tayo ay nakararanas ng tunay na pag-ibig mula sa mga taong nakapaligid sa atin. At nawa’y nabibigyan din natin ng pagmamahal ang mga sarili natin.

GILIW: Hindi inaasahang pag-ibig, ngayon puso'y inaaliw

Angel and Mark both attended the same highschool. They were friends, but eventually, Mark started liking her a lot.

"Si Angel po kasi yung tipo ng taong mukhang masungit pero once na nakaclose mo na, saka mo makikita yung cute, jolly, at madaldal niyang side. I like her, but I simply kept it kasi medyo komplikado mga sitwasyon noong mga panahon na iyon kaya parang isang malaking suntok sa buwan na gustuhin nya din ako at mapansin."

"Hanggang sa isang araw, sa activity po namin mismo sa klase siya umamin na "crush" nya ako. Parang di padin nagsisink in sakin mga pangyayare HAHAHA. Halos manigas ako sa kinatatayuan ko noong mga oras na iyon, sa harap ng mga kamag-aral at g**o namin, mga tilian na naririnig ko."

After a month, they started dating. And now, they've been together for one year and three months.

Indeed, no one can predict love. Love does as it pleases. Love arrives unannounced. Thus, we ought to live each day with a welcoming heart, because we never know when will love arrive.

After 26 years of living together, Bhem and Rolly learned four fundamental things as they journey through their marriage.

-Companionship
-Support
-Intimacy
-And respect

"Madami akong girlfriend dati, pero sa huli siya ang nakatadhana sa akin. Destiny na nakilala ko siya. Alam kong God-given siya at kung anong meron kami ngayon." -Rolly.

When asked what is the secret for a love that lasts, they smiled sweetly and answered.

"Minsan may hindi kayo pagkakaintindihan, talagang magbababa ka ng pride. Iintindihin mo 'yung asawa mo. Kaya sa relasyon, dapat may tiwala at may respeto." -Bhem

"Respeto talaga. Hindi 'yan pagmamahal kung hindi mo rinerespeto." -Rolly

A "perfect" marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other. Indeed, at the root of a lasting marriage is a strong partnership filled with love and trust.

Marriage, after all, requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
